From what I have seen about Wada wanting all future SE games to have an online component coupled with how they have felt lately about XBL being so closed with MS in no mood to budge on their position anytime soon, if MS does want Versus (which, at this point, I don't see why they should continue to try to get every third party exclusive Sony ever has; focus on first party), then their draconian online ways to devs is going to be yet another roadblock.
