Riiiiight!
Because we all KNOW "too many positive things" are always "LEGIT positive things", and they are never giving anyone the proverbial "free pass"!
Wow!
First, it's rather obvious now that you're trolling from two accounts that you're basically admitting you're using at the same time to shove your opinion down everyone's throats.
You're seriously basing your OPINION (yes, it IS an opinion, no matter HOW many time you try to say it) on an article that I didn't see before, and you failed to link to? I bet you I can give you several reasons other than what you're saying as to why that was (like th...
RELAX!
Seriously, BREATHE!
Many third party controllers have been confirmed to still work. Apparently, Sony did not make this story up, as there has been reports of something that was going on which is what they are saying. People are viewing "exploding" controllers as making a huge fire or something, when an explosion of a controller could be as small as the case shattering throughout the room.
Thing is, what probably happened was...
1. PS3 controllers cutting out? Since when? You might want to have that checked, because that has NEVER happened with me. NEVER!
2. Nice to see that you're calling everyone fanboys before anyone can even respond or do anything you're accusing people of. Good way to get a reputation going. Furthermore, what credentials are you using to tell who is or isn't a fanboy? Is it disagreeing with you?
3. And if there was something wrong with the placement of the Dualshock ...
"Nobodies arguing about mouse and keyboard being better or worse for FPS's. It's a well known fact they are better, not up for argument lol."
That, my friend, is very ignorant. You're pushing your opinion as proven fact, something that you should never do. It's called preference. Some people like the keyboard and mouse, and some like the controllers.
The fact that people have a PREFERENCE, and that such a PREFERENCE can differ from ...
I've used the 360 controller, and it's a bit weird for those not used to the different layout. For games where it's better to use the d-pad (Mega Man 9 and 10, for instance), it's a nightmare because those games are SO not designed to be played with an analog stick, and the placement of the pad coupled with how tiny it is makes it a pain to actually use. This is why the game is better on the Wii or PS3.
And you're the one being ignorant because you're ...
EXACTLY!
This is what I've been saying all along: they're so ready for Sony to screw over the hackers that they give the blank check for them to do whatever they want to do to get them, not thinking that Sony will take advantage of it. Granted, this story is being blown up as more than it is, but use some common sense and don't bitch when someone tries to screw EVERYONE over because they think they can just do anything they want under the claim of protection becau...
What it needs is people running the MS games division that will actually put gamers ahead of profits instead of trying to do something that serves no one.
A change in personnel is what's needed. Perhaps we will get some good, challenging games for things like Kinect, and a healthy balance of first and third party games that take advantage of the 360's strengths instead of just getting it "because the other people have it". DD is only going to get them so far...
The thing about this is that you don't have to remake all of the games that came before you initiate a Blu Ray solution (or any solution that would add a format that gives a developer some space). You just need to make sure you provide a good transition once you introduce the peripheral (or whatever solution could come up) for future 360 games.
Personally, I think that if that is why MS isn't going to adopt the format, then they should just come out and SAY that they ...
Obviously, you didn't read the part where I said:
"Before I go any further, I want to emphasize that lack of space does not necessarily equal a bad game. We’ve seen that some games CAN and DO get away with being able to only use a set amount of space. However, with that being said, it’s becoming a rare instance where one good game on the 360 can fit on one DVD-9."
Failure to comprehend that I actually brought that point up WAY before I began, in...
Lead platforms will usually get something extra for BEING the lead platform, as was the case with Mirror's Edge, because it's easier to do things on the platform they first developed for (obviously).
And, umm...no-gun for TC4? Okay...option is clearly there, but...does anyone remember the game Revolution X (the arcade gunner with Aerosmith)? Anyone remember how awful the console versions played because we didn't have a light gun?
Now...how would y...
God, do people even READ anymore before going into hysterics? Oh, wait, I forgot, this is N4G! We NEVER read articles before commenting on them.
Where did this Examiner guy (and I SWEAR I see this guy's picture anytime on any article form that site that seems to want to slam Sony in some way) get the 75% thing from? The source goes to a post on Sony's site from some random person. Not exactly the most creditable person, yet this guy is so ready to pounce on it.
Both Arkham Asylum and Dante's Inferno were developed with the PS3 as the lead console. And...umm...do I even HAVE to get into why the 360 isn't getting Extraction (hint: the game was on Wii, which has a particular type of controller that inspired the Move controller)?
You forgot to add "/sarcasm" at the end of your post.
Similar to how we all clicked on HHG's videos even though a lot of us hated HIM so much.
Go Google their issues with Home, Cheap-Ass Gamer, the GT load times, their trashing of MGS4 and Hideo Kojima as a person, plagiarism, and the like, and you will see just why Kotaku has been viewed as both having lost all creditably and having a nasty grudge against Sony (for whatever reason. I don't think the Home stuff is all there is to that anymore; how can you hold a grudge for THAT damn long?).
For all we know, this person just took a pic real quick, CLAIMED it was...
Yes, have they really? How dare we don't master the whole PS3 specs within a month of being able to actually USE it via the Jailbreak that Sony and the anti-piracy "let's screw EVERYONE to take care of the few" seem to be completely against and refuse to open their minds to the legal possibilities of it for even a second?
Oh, and let's see how many disagrees I get for THIS one! It's strange how these so-called "anti-piracy" people tend to ...
And to think that the reasons why a patent doesn't prevent Sony from delivering on ANY feature (and thereby proving your last sentence completely wrong) has been explained on here COUNTLESS times, can be Googled beyond belief, and could be explained by just about everyone.
Hell, two people, in this very comment thread, even brought the counterpoint up.
"psst... REAL GAMERS WANT TO PLAY GAMES ONLINE FOR FREE, NOT features "
Psst...real gamers would want BOTH: free online play WITH the extra features. Why should one HAVE to choose there, and why would asking for special feature DQ you from being a "real" gamer?
Why?
