And this is where they end up with 2 joke gaming conferences and their flagship title looking last gen. Just remember someone at Microsoft okayed that gameplay footage to be shown.

Sony obviously have some agreement in place with Disney to get exclusive access to Spiderman for other medium as Disney are allowed use him in the MCU. Want to play as Spidey buy a Playstation simple, as you will have Spiderman Miles Morales and Spiderman 2 coming exclusive to PS5 as well.
Look at it this way want to play as Master Chief buy an Xbox or PC otherwise don't start whinging.

I think its fair to say that Sony obviously have some kind of pull or leeway in Spiderman since negotiations with Disney to get Spiderman into the MCU. Sure look this whole exclusive content wa going on during the 360 era where MS paid for CoD exclusive maps, Titanfall etc, why is it an issue now?

Nintendo will step up, look its the lesser of 2 evils as Microsoft vision for the future of gaming is somewhere between cheap mobile games/ destiny, sea of thieves style games all on a netflix style subscription. I'll put it to you this way under Microsoft's vision games like Resident Evil, Horizon, The last of us, FF7, The Witcher wouldn't get developed by them as they don't fit the service gaming model.
Halfway through the 360 console life cycle MS changed strategy for the worst and began betraying their original hardcore fanbase, first it was Kinect, exclusives don't matter and now it's all about gamepass and GASS which will be terrible for innovation in the long run. I like competition but I honestly hope MS fails big-time with the series X and MS board pull the plug on the gaming division as they are just terrible for the future of gaming.
