We have also had cameras for years. What kinect does is improves on the existing tech and makes things not posible now possible. I own a kinect and I would love to be able to use it so I'm hoping that some of these games use it well. Kinect right now is no more than a dust magnet with shovelware imo.

The 360 versions of their games usually play pretty well now the ps3 is another whole story but this gen a lot of devs have had trouble with the ps3.

I think he's refering to the ps3. The reason the ps3 does not offer full installs on games is because they would take an hour easy. The 360 does full game instals in 3 to 8 minutes. I have purchased many games on ps3 where partial installs that at manadatry take much longer yet people complain about the time it takes to switch a disc but its ok to wait 100 times longer to mandatory install as this is just my personal opinion of using and owning both ps3 and 360. Can you imagine the fun the sony fans would have if this was ms? Stay classy ms fans as no one loosing their jobs is a good thing and I do wish sony all the best and turning this around will be tough but they can do it.
It almosts seems like from what the dev said that ms is still going to use Dvd drive next gen. He said he wanted installs so he doesn't have to change a disc. I think this would be a mistake as this gen was almost ok but not next gen.

About that video there was no system shown othe than a controller and while he was showing off the controller the game or cgi demo still was playing. Theo nly thing he could effect was the daytime nightime everything else was locked. Since there was no system shown this could of been done on a high end pc or a ps360. No proof in that video to back up the recent saying that the consol is not that powerfull.
I have played all thee games on 360 and they for the most part play fine. The frame rate issues and screen tearing were mainly the ps3 version. This however don't give them a free pass. If they are going to release the game on ps3 they need to make sure its a least playable ane close to the 360 version. If I had the opposite experience and played these on ps3 I proly would not support them again. So I understand where a lot of people are coming from.
don't forget most consoles at launch are sold at a loss and easily could be a 700 dollar machine at 399 or 499 and a company like ms that has been profiatble can take a risk to one up Sony who really cant aford a loss as they have been bleeding billions in losses each fiscal year.
Then you would love Kinect as well. The only type of games that work well with Kinect are exercise games and dancing and one could argue Kinect does these better and more realistic since when you excercise or dance you don't generally hold a phallis shaped stick in your hand. I never started the earth mission but I played up until that point. I did this as I knew wit all the backlash that bioware would do something about it so I have been waiting. Cutting edge? My laptop from 10 years ago is faster than the ps3. Its a poor designed console with a slow br drive, split ram, and a bottleneck design with the cell that put them miles behind in gaming. This is not cutting edge.
