Switch and project scorpio aren't really in competition with each other . They both can flourish. This all depends on software and promotions. With the right titles and proper advertising these both will do fine. Not everything is a contest. This is why exclusives are important. It differentiates each console from each other.
@FlyingFoxy I like how you think. As for following the crowd, I have found out the hard way to play what I like. Sometimes its good to listen to others though because you might try a game you maybe would normally overlook.
You don't need to be coy if you got hardware to back up your boasts. However they still need to prove to us they can bring us some exclusive experiences that rival Sony/ Nintendo offerings. If they do that ... watch out!

botw is a big change for the series . This change was necessary i believe to give a breath of fresh air to a 30 year old series. Possibly they can add bigger dungeons and puzzles in future games.. let botw be its own thing... I can't wait to see what they will do .
Yeah people want everything the same and then complain when nothing changes. Weapons breaking does take some getting used to but once you do , you plan accordingly. Change always has an adjustment period. Survival isn't about what you like to do its about doing what you need to do, to survive.

Why waste precious time griping over a great game? There are plenty of other topics that need crusading. Trying to get hits to pay your bills. There is no legit other reasons to do this besides just hating.
It makes it so every outfit is useful. Which kind of reminds me of super mario bros 3.. each power up has a different function. The green Tunic suits are just fan service . They at least let you strengthen those. Maybe they could expand on this for a sequel.

If you want the hype to die then ignore it. As for me I am almost finished with the game and it has overshadowed everything else until i finish it.

not just internet speeds, also Data limits on most Internet plans in the US. My household streams alot so downloading 50+ GB games won't be the norm for me. I did however go mostly digital on Wii U because most games are smaller. Gears 4 almost killed me LOL. My game files got corrupt (PC) and had to redownload the entire game. So Data limits need to change as well.

They have made deals with Nintendo before but its not enough. Plenty of the Limited Edition Consoles are only at Gamestop in America.
I remember a time when games sold out with out any DEALS or SALES. See when you cut the price you are cutting your profit. I seen a grand mother buying her grandson the latest COD LE, the season pass and a head set. That is a lot of money for 1 game. She could have bought 3 games for that price.
What is also killing the industry is 20-30 season passes, people only buying games they know (Assissins creed, Madden, Call of Duty, Battlefield), and last but not least is people are buying ...
In a perfect world that would be true. But these companies will do anything to have an edge on the other guy.I'm not saying they will do it but be cautious.
