I forgot to say i do have a gaming pc as well and do agree with your comment. Pc nowadays gets most big releases on time so i usually only get the exclusives on consoles and will probably get batman arkham knight for ps4 because of the extra content.
It was easier money-wise to have two systems back in the day (sega and nintendo) then sony came in and crushed sega (did love dreamcast though) ... Then MS came and now we have three legit (strong) contenders in the market and is hard to justify buying all three. But as for now i have wii u, ps4 and im waiting on x1 to be cheap and build a solid library . Forget the fanboy nonsense. Real gamers love games regardless of brand.
Thats why you buy BOTH. If i was a wii u only guy id be missing out and if i was a ps4 only guy id be missing out and same with x1. I personally wish the console market was only two consoles though (not saying who should step down)

Just wanted to say that i felt shafted with SEGA after buying the Saturn and Dreamcast but not because of price but the promise of the next big thing and them pulling the plug. But i do agree that i am not entitled to anything free.
Exactly. Ppl on this sight always talk about "new ips" but its not really new its just a new set of characters in place of another hit game. It happens in all media. Take for instance Jim lee drawing the xmen then when he went independant his new series looked just like xmen but different characters. I got that vibe with Destiny...maybe if it was a western or etc it would feel fresh. I miss the old sega who knew about freshness
Finally someone thats thinking and not just being a fanboy. The industry as a whole has become STALE. If it wasnt for devs like Nintendo, naughty dog, rockstar, and rocksteady etc ( devs who take time and care with each release). I would have lost all hope in videogames. Yeah the 3rd party ones? With N64 I had a clear third party controller that had a huge dead zone on the analog stick. I had 3 nintendo pads and the dreaded clear one...

I have 2 tb as well. Storage for wii u isn't an issue. Now Ps4 needs external storage support because laptop hdds are more expensive than external drives. Paid $90 for 2tb desktop external

You could say this new 3ds is a new start or like a 2nd generation iphone etc. nintendo had to release new hardware to meet their projections. This type of stuff always hurts the consumer .. DSi had dsiware... Eshop type games only on dsi .. So nintendo has done it.
Well technically Nintendo isn't forcing you to buy Xenoblade... Because the game would not of been ported to 3DS due to technical limits. Call it a bonus if you happen to upgrade . You can always play it on Wii. This happens all the time with smartphones.... Not all apps and games work on older models.
The only games that I've played on Wii U that "force" you to use the Wiimote is Nintendoland, Wii party U, wii fit u & wii sports club... Basically the games updated from Wii.. Every other game uses Gamepad and pro controller or all 3 (5) (smash bros). One of the Wii U's strengths is the amount of available control options.
