@decrypt, I care about graphics. If I didn't I would still be playing C64 or NES. And most people care about graphics, otherwise there wouldn't be need for next gen consoles. Ever.
@PopRocks359, that's a pretty unintelligent comment considering that site called PcPerspective had live stream while doing analysis os WiiU hardvare (as that "anonymous post" said).
But I guess that's the answer that I could expect from someone who doesn't even bother reading before replying.
FACT, WiiU uses DDR3 memory which makes its RAM slower than that of PS3 and X360:

When you want to get rid of some high manager you promote him to a position in which he has little to no influence on products and company policy.
Just ask Ken Kutaragi.
@Akuma
"ps4 will probably have a price of at 400quids or 500dollars"
LOL, no. Latest rumors reported from several trusted sources all point to x86 system (some type of APU) with GDDR5 or DDR4 (stacked). Allegedly Sony wants a very affordable system (and $500 is everything but affordable).
Cell is no more and Bluray is cheap to make. Sony has learned their pricing lesson with PS3. Expect $399-449 maximum price for premium system and ...
That goes for me too. One thing that I would like to point out is that devkits usualy have 2x RAM amount production console does. So if what this site claims is true, PS4 has 512-1GB RAM? Does that make sense to anyone? PS3 has 512 MB of memory!
Most likely VG247 made a typo. Besides the source also says that hard drive size is 256 Gb. Who the hell speaks of RAM and HDD sizes in bits!?
So chill everyone, PS4 will most likely have 4GB RAM in production consol...
Well said buddy, well said...
Because Xbox360 had 1 year head start? Let's not forget "boost" in sales due to RROD (initial 54% failure rate).
Also if you failed to notice, these are sales from 2009. and X360 is here since 2005 (and PS3 from 2006.).
Perhaps this is a method that could help disabled people play games? For example paraplegics.
Errr... Are we looking at the same textures?
Actually it only has 1GB of usable memory. Other 1GB is reserved for OS and cannot be used to execute games.
To all potential disagrees: This is a fact confirmed by Nintendo.
GPU is more capable, but CPU (according to developers) is lagging behind PS3 and X360.
You could add 512MB of shared RAM to present gen and practically get systems of identical power to WiiU.
So much for next gen leap.
Thx for that obnoxious commercial. You've been either brainwashed (since you sound like a marketing zombie) or you are a Nintendo employee.
It wasn't a question for Nintendo, it was a question for Team Ninja. Besides, Nintendo didn't help with development they merely paid and said "make it like NG2". What the hell does Nintendo know about making games like NG? They specialize in Super Mario and similar stuff.
Real question is this: Why did Team Ninja screw over legions of loyal fans with NG3?
Fans of the series like me feel like s*it when they see this happen.
A...
@Sidar, so? You expect to see full HD, tesselation, advanced physics, etc. on 1GB of shared memory?
WiiU will do 720p with present gen graphics for a next gen price.
You haven't understood a word Shok wrote, didn't you? If you did, you would be everything but excited.
Jesus, that was some lame (and obvious) PR.
And in another news (from article):
"whopping 1GB" --> LOL
Sony will slash price in order for PS3 to be more competitive in general, not out of fear of WiiU.
With $400 console (offical price for Japan) that is equal to present gen in terms of graphical abilities, Nintendo should start preparing for a disaster when it comes to sales. Specially when Sony announces smaller and cheaper PS3 on TGS 2012.
Besides what would you rather buy; present gen for $200 or present gen (advertised as next gen) for $400?
Two sides will fight for next gen throne; PS4 and X720.
When announcing new hardware, any wise company wants as small as possible time gap between announcement and release.
Announcing new hardware will have negative effect on present gen sales because a lot of people will rather save their money for next gen rather than spending it now.
Besides, Xbox 360 was announced just 6 months before release. I believe that next gen gap will be even smaller than that.
I absolutely love the new store. It has sleek, modern look and is much more intuitive than the old one. Old store was a mess, stuff was all over the place. Luckily, store is now much more organized.
Its performance could be better, but that will improve over time.
