Basically minus every GOTY nominee from major gaming sites bar Mass Effect 2. No, no it didn't have the best lineup last year. I've plowed a lot of money into my PC hardware and I can unfortunately confidently say it didn't, as with every year for the past ~5 years
My version runs well. I mean I'd expect it to run better but it stays above 40fps on my G73JH with all settings on very high aside from detail and view distance which are about 3/4 of the way
One of the best games of last year and I still can't play it on my PC :/ suckss. There is hope, however the storie's been spoiled for me by now and there's not much hype left for it. Just like what happened with GTA4... Always getting the best things last, if at all :(
If any game this generation deserves a 10/10, it is Uncharted 2. However personally I don't think any game is 'perfect' - just that UC2 was closer to 'perfect' than any game in the past ~5/6 years

Oh wow, you guys are idiots. GT5 is the best looking racing game on ANY platform and yet we have stupid comments like this from imvix "GT5 the game looks last gen at best. Games like Grid, Dirt 2, hell even NFS shift look better."
GT5's car models have more than double the poly count of EVERY game you just listed when maxed. The attention to detail in GT5 is insane, graphically it is the best looking racing game.

Although most of this is BS that's true, I understand what you're getting at. The fact is no PC game has come close to winning more GOTY than any other game that year for more than 4 years now. Console exclusives are the games that seem to be winning all the praise whereas PC exclusives turn out to be sub-par in comparison (aside from a few gems but even these aren't good enough to win many GOTY awards)

Edit: ahh ok I see cheers soundslike. I thought the site was putting Puzzle quest, Lead and Gold, Metro 2033 and Deadly premonition over GOW3 and Heavy Rain. Which IMHO would be a big mistake. Gonna go and blame that on the Sambuca :)
God of War 3 is missing from that list and so is Heavy Rain. Any one of Deadly Premonition, Puzzle quest, Metro 2033 and lead and gold should be substituted for those games IMHO. Just my 2 cents

the latest update (v1.05 I think) fixed the pixelation around car edges when smoke or water particles interact with it. It's a lot better now if you haven't checked it out, it actually doesn't exist anymore
I agree with what you said apart from that Dirt 2 shits on GT5. That is just ridiculous. GT5's 500k polygon car models "shit on" dirt 2's 200k poly models when maxed. Also GT5's lighting system "shits on" dirt 2's. I'm sorry but after several reviews and car simulation game reviewers have stated "GT5 is the best looking racing game on any platform" you really have no leg to stand on with that statement. Oh and btw the witcher is not a very go...

Gran Turismo 5 does NOT run at 1280*1080. In fact it runs at 1440*1080, it was the prologue that ran at 1280*1080, slight correction there :P
Also 1080p represents anything progressively scanned with a vertical resolution of 1080 lines of pixels. This means that there are a host of resolutions still technically '1080p'
- 320*1080
- 640*1080
- 1280*1080
etc.
Yet the best ones - the ones people will most want to download - exceed 30gb.
