One of the most surprising games to have come out in recent years really, and by that I mean someone actually made a comic book superhero game that was more than deserving of the license. That it was Batman based was a joy for me as I'm a big fan. I made sure I found everything in the game as the rewards were excellent, all the back stories to the characters were worth the effort.

This game has some of the best written dialogue in any rpg game ever released, even surpassing BG2. If any rpg gamer hasn't played it yet I'd recommend it, as long as they were willing to play a game with obviously outdated graphics. If you can get past that it's really engrossing.

We have already been through this. Killzone 2 trailer did not match up to the final product. Not that the final product was bad, but the trailer did not match up to the gameplay, nor is it supposed to. A lot of people hyped it as in-game. Trailers never look as good as the real thing and Killzone is no different.

You have to take into account when HL and HL2 were made, at the time each game was released no other game could hold a candle to them. The fact that the games can be modded in so many ways gives people who want to get into game design all the tools they need.
And although you may think they are generic, those two games are more critically acclaimed than any other fps games out there, and have been enjoyed by a huge amount of people.

A well deserved win. I've played this game more than anything else this year. I haven't played DS yet, but I'll have it on Xmas and I'm certain I'm gonna love it so I'll have the two best rpgs of this year. Great gaming year all round really.

Alone in the Dark was terrible.
Some of the details I'm seeing worry me but I still have high hopes for this game. If they can make MP work, cool, as long as the SP is top notch like the first one was that's all that matters.
