I agree on the Scribblenauts awards, on one hand it was very different and innovative, yet on the other it was a pretty frustrating game that was very flawed. Maybe if they make a sequel they can tighten up a lot of things they did wrong.
Paragraphs are sometimes a good thing. Otherwise some people may just be looking at a wall of text.

Bloody good choice. I've only just started playing it and it's risen to my game of the year.
As long as the game is as good or better than the first one, that's all that matters. I'm not looking for award winning water effects, if it serves its purpose then that's good enough for me.

Nothing for Demons Souls? Seriously?
I've been playing Demons Souls today (Merry Xmas!) and it is a stunning game. I've spent 4 hours just on the first level and have died quite a few times, and I'm loving every minute of it. Everything I've heard about this game is true.
Definitely deserving of its award. Now I've got to wait for everyone to finish watching all the crap on the tv and go to bed before I can get back on it, I need another hdtv.

I wouldn't say it's the best this decade, but it's close. It's not a game that's very replayable though, the second playthrough loses a lot of the first plays impact and I prefer games like inFamous which encourage second playthroughs. But the first time you play it is like nothing else.
One of the games I've played the most this year. Well deserved.
I agree with you, but I also agree with what's on the list. Maybe a bigger list was neccessary, I'd struggle to make a top 15 I think.
