Sony is just hitting their stride with the PS3. I think 2010 will be the PS3's strongest year to date.

The game looks beautiful. 360 and PC owners are in for a treat.
I don't mean to pull rank on you two but are either of you Electrical Engineers or Software Engineers?...Probably not.
But guess what...I am. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Computer Science. My core was Solid State Electronics and VLSI. Basically I designed Microprocessors using Mentor Graphics and Cadence. Circuit design, etc, etc. I am currently working on my MBA.

Since I already own a PS3, I would only be buying a 360 for exclusives and not multiplatform games. It wouldn't make any sense to pay $299 for slightly better frame rates in some multiplatform games. Its the 360's exclusives that I am interested in investigating. I played and beat Uncharted before I got a chance to play Gears 1 and Gears 2 at my brother in laws house, so basically I was wondering what all the hoopla was about Gears. I think having played Uncharted first spoiled the experi...
I feel bad for those that missed out. Tekken 6 for $20 is a unbelievable deal since the game just came out not too long ago. I got my copy. :)

I really think this game will surprise people. I really hope it succeeds so that other developers make games like this. I don't want to play the same stuff just with prettier graphics for the rest of my life. I support games that are doing original things. LBP, Flower, Heavy Rain, etc...
I would buy this game for the graphics alone just to show off. But I am sure it will be a good game. The developer has a good track record.
I think Mass Effect 2 will sell well. Maybe 2 mill life time which is pretty good. There are too many great games being released in 2010 for any one game to sell millions upon millions more than everyone else. Well maybe except its GT5 or Halo because those games sell a lot of copies. I think some great games may actually get lost in the shuffle which is unfortunate.
I enjoy the standard controller. Some motion games in the Wii are okay but not good enough to replace a standard controller. Natal doesn't use a controller at all. I really don't see this catching on. Sony at least are catering to gamers by designing their controller for regular games. In my opinion Sony's motion solution is more promising. I was very impressed with the demonstration of real genres with Sony's motion controller. I can easily see myself playing Demon Souls, RTS, FPS, Sp...
Sony are forward thinkers in supporting new genres. They have really pushed new genres this generation unlike Nintendo and Microsoft.
PS3 may never catch the Wii in world wide sales depending on how well the Wii maintains sales in 2010 and 2011. But the PS3 will definitely catch the 360.

History has shown us that no matter what developers say, 98% of third party 360 exclusives eventually come to the PS3. Microsoft has paid to lock down Gears but everything else pretty much comes over to the PS3. Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Bioshock, Tales, Saints Row 2, Star Ocean,Castle Crashers, Braid, etc...The only one that I can think of that hasn't made it over yet besides Mass Effect is Ace Combat. DF has already done an analysis of Forza 3 v GTP and GTP wipes the floor with Forza 3. So how is it logical for people to think that Forza 3 stands a change in any category against the finished GT5 game?... The best on the 360 in any genre will never look better than the best on the PS3 in any genre for two important reasons.
(1) PS3 is more powerful than the 360.
(2) PS3 developers are more talented hands down.
Wow...Sony isn't playing when it comes to releasing exclusives this generation. I think they bet the farm on exclusive games this gen. It may very well work out for them since Microsoft is lacking in this area.
