Congrats to Atlus, From Software, and Sony for winning RPG of the year from Gamespot! Demon Souls is a phenomenal game that does a lot of new innovative things while others games play catch up.

Killzone 2 shouldn't be on that list. It surpassed people's high expectation for the game. Why do people want to hate Killzone 2 so much and love Uncharted 2 so much. Those two games stand shoulder to shoulder in many aspects. People consider MW 2 to be the gold standard in the shooter category...Killzone 2 is better than MW 2 in many aspects...the only thing it lacked was a co-op mode. For some reason Killzone 2, Resistance, and Ratchet & Clank receive a lot of hate...why?

I own all of those games except for DJ Hero (will eventually get). They are all excellent games. Demon Souls should have made the list instead of DJ Hero

Its seems that Uncharted 2 is forcing developers to put more polish into their games. I hope this trend continues. I have been spoiled by Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 and I now expect more from other developers as well.

Its pretty obvious that 2010 will be better than 2009 for Microsoft and its Xbox 360. 2009 was pretty bad in terms of games, so the only way to go is up.
Shame...Everyone know the 360 version is better but the differences don't warrant 9.5 vs 8.2...A 1.3 point difference...

I think Ghostbusters and Bayonetta are anomalies. The majority of multiplatform games are now essentially the same on both platform with minuscule difference favoring either the PS3 or the 360.
Xbox 360 had games in 2009. But they were mostly multiplatform. The few exclusives were not very good. I think the only AAA exclusive was Forza 3. Besides there were a lot of DLC masquerading around as full games...Halo ODST, GTA Episodes from LC, L4D 2...
But congrats to Microsoft for selling a lot of 360s despite its lack of quality exclusives in 2009. 2010 looks to be better for Microsoft and its 360.

I guess we will see. I take the man at his word. If there won't be any difference in CGI and Realtime Graphics in FF Vs XIII then we will definitely know that the 360 held back FF XIII. Maybe the secret title is FF VII remake or KH III.
Having experienced both interfaces. I prefer the XMB because of its simplicity, speed, and the free themes, dynamic themes, etc. Its cleaner and more minimalistic. I personally think the original xbox menu was better than the NXE. The NXE is confusing and has a lot of menus. I also think Microsoft Avatars are ugly.
