Multiplatform games and 360 exclusives are built for the 360 architecture. Developers have tried to rewrite code and do parallel development in order to make the PS3 version of games. Developers even started out only using the PPU and not the SPUs which made the PS3 games run worse than the 360 versions. So basically all the engines that are multiplatform are 360 engines optimized for the 360. With all of Microsoft's millions do you really believe that they would push the limits of the 36...

I foundly remember when my dad brought home an NES and my first experience with video games was with Super Mario Bros. I still have my original NES. It still works like a charm. Nintendo builds the most reliable game consoles.
Shoot. I remember when I bought Final Fight for my SNES for $75. I think the PS1 and PS2 generation were the best in terms of game prices.

Looks really good. It doesn't set any graphical standards but it looks impressive. I think Mass Effect 2 looks better than Gears. I prefer the art in Mass Effect over Gears.
Borderlands is a great game but there are better games released in 2009.

Congrats to From Software/Atlus/SCEJ/Sony for a winning such a prestigious award from a gaming website that have shown that they are not afraid to praise the hard work that Sony has put forward in 2009 in terms of quality exclusive content that outclass the competition in terms of quality and quantity. I except 2010 to be an even better year for Sony and their PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.
I think people simply got tired of talking about RROD. It is so common like brushing your teeth everyday, therefore there is no point bringing it up all the time.
Congrats to Sony on continuing to show why they are in the leadership position in the video game industry. Sony pushes the boundaries more than any other Developer/Publisher/Console Manufacturer hands down. They have really outdone themselves with what they have provided us consumers with on the PS3 in terms of content, hardware, and services.
I have come to the conclusion that the hate on Sony will never end no matter how well they do. Sony is held at a way higher standard than Nintendo and Microsoft. I understand that Sony was the market leader as soon as they entered the video game industry but serious...give them a break. They do a lot of things right. I am actually more satisfied with Sony this generation than I was during the PS1 and the PS2 respectively.
Water effects look decent. I have seen better though...This footage would have been impressive 2 years ago but not today.
I own a 60GB (now 320GB) PS3 and I also own over 117 PS2 games. I have only played 3 ps2 games on my PS3...GOW II, Shadow of the Collossus, and Ratchet & Clank. I bought GOW II and SoTC after I already owned a PS3. There is simply too many good PS3 games both multiplatform and exclusives to have the time to be playing PS2 games. I already almost own as many PS3 games as PS2 games...100 to be exact.
