The artwork is beautiful. It looks like a really wonderful game. Right up there with Firewatch on my list of "must-plays" for this year...when I find the time!
Lol cheater
My demonstration at E3 was single player only, unfortunately.
Easily one of the best RPGs to come out in years. Can't wait to try it with split screen!
How is this a game made in 2015? Looks like a mobile game I'd play on my Nokia back in the day.
I can definitely understand how the game helped you after reading this. I'm sorry for your loss but it's refreshing to see such a positive message come out of a game.
sport /spôrt/
noun -
"an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment"
That's according to Google. By that definition, it definitely is!
Dang, these are super creative and awesome. Love the Kill Bill one!
Once you get deeper into the game you can start building bases and crafting storage chests. You can also make shovels and dig holes to bury some basic things. And most of the severs let you keep all of the crafting recipes that you learned - only certain marked servers erase your recipe knowledge when you die.
Oh, it's very similar. But DayZ doesn't have this type of crafting or survival system. And that game is even buggier even though it's been out forever. And it was based on a mod by a small studio - this is backed by one of the biggest AAA MMO developers/publishers. The biggest thing is the crafting/survival though, DayZ doesn't really have any of that, not in this level of detail. You can even build bases in this game. Hell, you can fill up a water bottle in the rain, purify i...
Same, which is why I enjoyed this one so much. It's not JUST zombies. You have to eat so you don't starve, drink so you don't dehydrate, hunt for food, craft your gear and supplies, and that's all without considering other players. You lose your stuff when you die and you never know who you can trust.
All of those aspects combined into one game mean this thing is pretty special and has a lot of potential.
Definitely not true - Game Maker and Unity are both capable of making very complex and sophisticated games. Games like Hotline Miami, Gun Point, Among the Sleep, and dozens of others prove that for sure.
My issue isn't with whether or not the world and gameplay are "open" it's with the sequence of events that tell the story. In any given moment, the game could quickly and easily deposit the player in an entirely unrelated and confusing new environment with little to no explanation. Because of this, there is no character development or progression of the plot and world. It's just a giant clusterfuck of wondering what the hell is going on.
By linear story,...
I feel like these are the perfect example of games that Kickstarter truly enables. The media likes to popularize the AAA-quality games that come from Kickstarter, created by industry veterans, but I prefer to learn about these smaller and more intimate games. Without something like Kickstarter, these types of games would likely never exist at all.
I really wish this game had a more linear story. As is, it comes off as disjointed and confusing. That being said, I really did enjoy this one, it just could have been a lot better.
It died in the almost year that the game was delayed.
Oh yeah? Which team do you play with, SwiffEpics?
It's a shame this game didn't live up to the legacy of its predecessors. Sacred 2 is a really fun and solid action-RPG, even on consoles, so there were high hopes for this one. They didn't even market it well - I had no idea it was releasing until it popped up in the Steam store one day. It's a damn shame!
Jesus Christ this is long. Inception is only 5 minutes longer than this podcast.
This is my review here, thought I'd chime in. I gave it an 8 because, despite the polish and fun, I really wanted a more robust single player campaign and more online league/team functionality. It seemed like a no-brainer given the context, but what we got is so solid it's still easily worth recommending.
