Dont you realize that when next gen hits, all the Nintendo fan boys will be claiming victory with the switch?
They already claim they're in the 9th gen and by the time sony and ms jump in they will have been 50 or 60 mil behind switch.

I'm willing to bet both xbox and ps5 will obviously be using x86 architecture and if either platform is think ahead then they both will be bc out of the box.
Historically all PlayStation's have been bc out of the box except ps4. The cell was sony's reason why ps4 wouldn't be bc, I'm sure it was just to much effort for them to even bother with.
Keeping x86 and just a little foresight, bc should be a given day one on both consoles next gen.
