I think you're confused, MS is making the "gamer" pay for the DLC not Valve.
Valve wants it to be free on XBL but MS wont allow it. The only alternative would be for Valve not to release the L4D2 DLC on XBL, but wouldn't that alienate Valves fan base even more?
I think you missed the point. If you continue to support the guy who keeps sticking it to you then don't expect it to ever change.

If I was running the "business" I wouldn't charge money for "free DLC" , it's really kind of a stupid/bad business practice.
A $100K is a drop in the bucket for EA, I would have been more impressed to see atleast $1million.

After PC gaming you may wounder why you ever bought a 360 to begin with.
So can you tell me why the 360 and ps3 are pretty much at the same price point (minus the arcade) if one is using DVD9 and the other is using BD?
That MS charges royalties for each DVD and there is a No mandatory install policy so people with the 360 arcade can play any game aswell.
In my opinion using DVD9 shouldn't make any difference, the problem is MS policies with multiple disc games and installs.

I kind of think MS is making a mistake to bring out kinect 5 years into the 360 life cycle.
Wouldn't it have made more sence for MS to R&D it for the next 2 or 3 years and bring it out with the next gen xbox? Or is this really just a beta test?
Mag should have been $29 from the very beginning since it's really just half a game (online only).
Home could have been cool, but really , it ain't! Ofcoures there is potential but sony hasen't done anything with it to make the hard core want to have anything to do with it.
I have seen people in home who play NO games, who have not one trophy (which is beyond me), thats good in one aspect, but sony needs to intice the core gamer a give us a reason to go into home.
