If L.A. Noire is anything like HR, then once you finish the game (and it's multiple endings) there will be ZERO replay value.
Why do people think HR was so great? I bought it and was finish in less then a weak, I could have rented it for $7 and got just as much out of it.
Yes , I did finish all 7 endings and it was a struggle because it was getting so tedious. After I was done I sold it and I never want to see HR again.
I sure hope the game mechanics are nothing like HR , One HR is about all I could take.

I agree but I am sure that sooner or later we will see all valve titles come to steam/ps3.
If Valve is going to put the effort into steam on the PS3, then I would expect more games from valve to also come to steam/ps3, I would also expect all valve games to be cross-platform aswell.
The one thing that I am sure will not happen , is valve selling other ps3 games on steam.
The only thing (IMO) that steam is going bring to the PS3 (and I do believe it is still ground breaking) is control to valve to bring free updates and dlc aswell as cross-plat...

STO doesn't take a big PC to play just to let you know.
I still going to hold off on a life time sub until I know STO is going to stick around a while.I love STO but it wouldn't surprise me if the game only lasted another year.

I would agree with you if it was that simple. A mod/hack that would effect your own console is one thing.
But geohotz hack has cracked the ps3 wide open leaving it easy access for piracy and online cheaters , which will effect everyone including our game makers.
PS3 isn't even 4 1/2 years old yet... why are people in such a rush to see the next Gen?
If it's all about graphics then I would suggest gaming on PC aswell.

I totally agree...I rented the game for my kids a couple months ago and we had nothing but problems staying connected to black ops.

crossplatform game play..... if Sony and Valve continue to bring out more crossplatform games , that could be the final nail in the 360 coffin.

Face the facts buddy, the 360's ONE YEAR LEAD over the PS3 is gone, so what does that tell you?
It's an MMO, the Dev's are always working on updates patches and new content as well as maintaining the servers that is included in the monthly subscription. It's not like you end up having to pay more for any new content.
I would like to see how long any MMO server would be running for with out a monthly subscription.

What are you talking about? ...... They (critics and reveiwers) have been beyound desperate from the get go! I have never seen the gaming media (if that's what you want to call them) try so Desperately to discredit a game of GT5 caliber in my life.
If reveiwers put all games under the same scrutiny as GT5 , then 5/10 and 6/10 would be the norm for most games.

But then that would make GT5 an arcade experience not a sim and you probably wouldn't get very far before exploding.
I've been playing GT5 for the past two days straight now, ofcoures I did eat and sleep between sessions.......(hell of alot of fun).........
What the hell is with all the hate people , I mean ...wow this is just a game. The best racer I've ever played so far, but what I find funny is GT5 has still been called (even from IGN) the best racer out there but still gets lower scores then say .... FM3, what's up with that?

The only thing that really irritates me about KZ2 controls, is the zoom/scope just happens to be the R3 or L3, this is very awkward for me, more so online.
That is my ONLY complaint with KZ2...
