I actually wanted a reboot, because I didn't feel the story was cohesive, but I feel like both NT and Capcom shitted on their fanbase with this new direction.
People try so hard to be different.
Everyone at Capcom are willing to sell their souls for a buck. They're trying way to hard to appeal to the "west."
I feel like crying myself asleep. DMC was the game that got me into gaming and this is what you guys do with the series. I.....I.....*starts sobbing*
WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? !?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I really want is for NT to handle the game's production and story, and let Capcom handle the gameplay, but I doubt that will happen. I don't think the combat system can reach it's full potential without the the DMC3 team, because it was heavily influenced by Street Fighter Alpha 3. I hope NT proves me wrong, but I don't see the fighting system being as deep as DMC3 because it will be missing elements from SF.
Even though I think the game is somewhat ove...
There's no excuse for Capcom not including Phoenix, X, Vergil and other characters unless they're doing DLC. People have been making their character wishlist for this game for 10 years and their best excuse is "we didn't have time to include other characters?"
Edit: Isn't this like the 4th leaked list so far?
You kind of have to reboot it or at least start off from DMC1, because the story isn't very cohesive.
I think DMC5 is a collaboration between the two teams. At least that's what I would like
Those Thriller zombies scared the hell out of me when I was younger. Dawn of the Dead remake is a close 2nd in my book though.
Call me a pessimist, but I'm not getting excited about this game until I know the servers are good
CoolStuff is 100% correct. It baffles me how Sony fans want PSN to have some of the features Xbox Live has yet believe PSN is better strictly off the fact it's free. PS3 is the only console I own this generation, but even I can't deny the flaws PSN has. I honestly can careless if you delusional fanboys give me 200 disagrees. Do whatever makes you happy.
This has to be some sort of cruel joke, right?
Revitalize the series, but the more I think about the more I begin to dislike Capcom for outsourcing this series. If members from the DMC3 team aren't helping Ninja Theory develop this game the action is going to suck. What made DMC3 so great was because how the developers were able to integrate the complexity of Street Fighter Alpha 3's fighting mechanics into an action. A western developer will NEVER be able to put that sort of touch on the game.
Edit: Wow I jus...
I knew I wasn't bugging out. For example, Bayonetta is a good game, but is nowhere near as great as the reviews say it is. The combat system was decent, but it doesn't reward you for trying new moves which was how the game was somewhat designed to be I.E. DMC3. The story was nonexistent, voice-acting was terrible, and the music was cheesy. I understand the game didn't really take itself seriously, but if other games are going to be penalized for the same thing then this game ...
Capcom did say they wanted the next one to be critically acclaimed so let's hope we don't have to play another DMC4. Wasn't that bad, but was a huge drop off from DMC3
Dante is immortal and has supernatural abilities. Kratos has more brutal finishes but come on now the dude died twice(3 if I'm not mistaken). End of story
Lebron isn't going anywhere at least imo. I won't believe any speculation that ESPN promotes until the ink is dry.
I hope they take their time with it. I can wait another 2 years for it if it turns out to be anything like Devil May Cry 3 combat-wise, and the story/script is a lot better
I'll wait for the gameplay footage to judge, but western developers simply can't make our DMC's, Street Fighter's, Bayonetta's, etc. Their philosophies are completely different from that of eastern developers
