I'm not defending the Order.
All i'm saying is reading some of these reviews about QTE's, game length, story driven etc that they are making look as negatives for the Order did not apply to the games i mentioned.
@ Septic
Really now but that comment is a little contradicting isn't it coming from you.
@ TXIDarkAvenger
Hey it's the time to be a fanboy since an poorly reviewed exclusive is released. Also u haven't checked my comment history. I'm just joining the 'haterade' day.
@ PSIN4MANT
Seriously how many of us knew about R@D before this game was announced. Unless you owned a PSP most probably ...
Wow some of the excuses to hate on this game are becoming laughable.
It's like all the reviewers are saying they are victims for playing The Order.
The real victim is R@D. They made a highly polished, beautiful looking game that they feel proud of. Some of the articles are just plain vindictive & harsh beyond belief.
Just like Ryse so Xbox & Playstation are even now.
Difference is that Ryse is from a credible developer Crytek while The Order is made from an unknown PSP developer.
So games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Vanquish, God of War, Shenmue are also poorly designed games based on the scores some of these sites are giving this game.
Ico was a short story driven game with no multiplayer & little replayability. (90 metacritic)
Shadow of Colossus also a short story driven game fighting only bosses. No multiplayer. (91 metacritic)
Shenmue story driven, QTE heavy single player experience. (88 metacritic)
Wow how short term memories u guys have. Remember the launch of the PS3 we got stellar titles like Ridge Racer 7, Gundam Crossfire, Genji & Resistance.
Only Resistance was worth it. Fast forward 8 years the PS3 got Last of Us, Uncharted 2, God of War 3.
So you guys are judging Sony exclusives cause of a few launch window games. Really?
Why are people still using these large gaming sites to justify a game purchase. None of them are credible anymore. None of them can be taken seriously in what scores they give games.
All these sites care for are traffic to their sites by generating 'hit inducing' articles. To please the publishers for the ad revenue (take Gamespot for example we all know that story).
There was an agenda placed on this game ever since the first gameplay reveal & t...
It goes both ways buddy. That is the nature of fanboys who claim to be gamers. A real gamer is willing to accept and look pass any criticism that is made for a game and enjoy it based on their own assessment.
Whether it be a Xbox exclusive, Sony exclusive, or Nintendo exclusive there will unfortunately be people trying to bring the game down.
@ Man-Eee-Faces
I get that. I'm just making a point that the guy is too quick to judge from one review. The links above i used that has the fewest review scores possible so the average is close enough to the final score.
I made this comparison before. Does that mean Ico is not worth it as well cause it was a short game as well. Another is Vanquish which was also short, is it bad as well?
As long as the game is fun & entertaining for the person who purchased it, why would it matter how short is it.
I could finish Ico in under 2 hrs for the trophy & enjoy every single minute of it.
So according to you here are other 7.5 games that are also bad.

Do you know what it just goes to show how many people missed the experience on the PSP when it should've been released on it in the first place.
It also shows what a capable little handheld the PSP was & it is a shame not a lot of people gave it a chance.
On topic. Having played & finished Type-0 Final Fantasy fans are in for a treat. It'll make you forget what a travesty FF13 was.
See RAD are a humble developer coming from small beginnings working on PSP games. So why is the gaming community so infatuated in ripping apart their first AAA game?
They deserve the benefit of the doubt and given them some breathing room so that they can learn from the Order & improve on what they started.
We need developers like RAD to grow the industry or we will be in the mercy of the big developers who recycle material yearly & release broken ga...
It's funny one of the most influential games in the minds of developers is Ico & that game has a trophy for finishing it in under 2 hrs. I love Ico to death & just like the Order it is a single player, story driven, 'cinematic' experience. So what makes the Order that much different than Ico.
When did we gamers become so obsessed with scrutinizing, ridiculing, putting down games regardless of platform? Games are supposed to entertain us, send us to a diffe...
Where were these articles when other 'short' games were released?
So a speed runner finished the game in 5hrs. Whoop de doo! We see speed runners finish games like Dark Souls in 2 hrs. Did it suffer from review scores? MG Revengence can be finished in under 5 hrs, it still is a good action game.
I don't understand why all of a sudden games like The Order or Ryse are put through the ringer for subjects that have been present in many MANY games bef...
'So you won't regret paying $60 for a 5 hr game with no multiplayer and no co-op'
Where does it say that a game HAS to have multiplayer or co-op to be worth the money? There is no rule for that argument at all.
Back in the day we spent nearly 100 dollars for games that have even less game time, didn't mean that they were not worth it.
Bioshock Infinite was one of the funnest games I played last gen. It had no multiplayer or c...
What is wrong with QTE's? I don't get the hate on for this form of gameplay. Would u rather just watch a cinematic instead?
For example in Resident Evil 4 when Leon is running from the boulder would u rather just watch him run from it or be apart of it? In God of War would you rather watch Kratos rip Helios head or be apart of it?
QTE's are just a form of gameplay that makes the player experience what is happening rather than just watching it happ...
Ever since the Jeff Gerstmann controversy all large gaming sites should not be taken seriously. It was pretty clear that most of these sites care about 'hits' & giving favorable scores to please the 'ad money' given to them by publishers.
When review have the phrases like 'Too much variety' for a game like Ratchet & Clank from Gamespot you know there is something wrong with reviews these days.
We got people speed running games like Dark Souls in under an hour. Does that mean that Dark Souls isn't worth the money?
We got people speed running Bayonetta in 2 hours. That game doesn't have multiplayer either & is a linear experience. Does that mean that Bayonetta is a bad game?
So who cares if The Order is 5hrs, 10hrs, 20hrs or whatever it is. Doesn't mean that the game is not worth it or an enjoyable experience. Back in the day we coul...
Review scores are basically for 'fanboys' to skew over & make a big deal out of them whether they are positive or negative. Though negative reviews tend to bring out the ugly side of people.
For the general public review scores rarely make much of an impact on deciding to buy the game or not. Knack got horrible scores still sold pretty well.
The Order will do fine in sales regardless of review scores. Those who will buy it already know what they ...
