I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I meant to say why would someone buy a Pro over a cheaper PS4. Like if someone planned on buying a PS4 for the first time is it still worth it to buy the Pro?
To all of the PS4 fans on this thread ( see you posting) Has the X1X made the PS4 pro irrelevant? Is it worth the extra money for the Pro when it on runs the handful of exclusives and remakes better. But, all of the 3rd party games will run and look better on X1X?
I'm curious to hear opinions and have a real discussion.
You saw first hand what a bad message at launch can do. The first year PS4 had mostly indie games, so so first party games, and remastered games. They played it well with the most powerful console theme. 3rd party Games run better on PS4 and it was true. But, not anymore. The X1X is so much more powerful than the Pro people (especially Sony fans) only compare it to PCs. They don't even mention the Pro at all and don't even try to pretend it's close. When people see the comp...
GT 5&6 were disappointing for me. I hope this one is better.
@skippy
You are just in denial. Before launch they are showing games that look and run better than the Pro. You try to infer that DF is being paid by MS but, look at the video yourself. You can easily see the difference before launch and after devs get use to the X1X power and hardware you will even see more enhanced titles than the Pro. The Pro has been out a year ND X1X already has more enhanced titles and the devs seem to like it too.
What facts do you have...
If they just said " console exclusive" maybe the haters would stop nit picking. Smh
@TKC
You have to realize as time goes on devs will get even more out of the X1X and the performance will improve. Even before launch it has more enhanced games than the Pro after about a year. I will wait to see what happens when PS5 comes out.
But, the question is what will "Next gen" PS5 do that the X1X can't do? 4K? X1x does that. 4k@60fps? X1x does that.
I think MS did a very smart move because the best PS5 can do is 4K@60fps (That is the most TVs can do) and they beat Sony to the punch. Sony now can only catch up because there is nothing higher that 4k@60fps and HDR.
Plus the X1X will be cheaper by the time the new PS5 comes out with similar performance.
Hopef...
Wow that's really grasping at straws. Smh
None the less it is still higher than the Pro.
Or a set of working eyes you can see the difference. But, nice try.
Cheers
@thatgu6
You can't compare apples and oranges because they are different games.
But, when you compare games that are on both systems it easy to till the improvements over a handful of" exclusives" that don't interest me.
@Badboyc
How does the sells of the X1X change the fact the the X1X is more powerful? Fanboy logic can be confusing. From all reports games run better and look better on X1X how will sales effect the gaming experience? You have a choice to buy an X1X or not.
Cheers
That's the odd part. They nit pick at the X1X but, at the end of the day the X1X is much more powerful than the PS4 pro. It been proven by many developers. Oh, well.
But, how does this negativity effect the X1X performance? Is this why the Pro is not capable of the same performance as the X1X?
If it is as bad as GT5 and 6. No.
Ever other is half as often as FIFA? Silly
Are you saying a potato is more powerful than the Pro? That is pretty harsh.
But, it is intense enough not to run 4k@60 on the PS4 pro. So, is it intense or not?
Sorry I meant to say was the Pro worth the extra money over the standard PS4 now that the X1X is coming.
