What would it need to be next gen? It's about 40% more powerful than the next most powerful console the PS4 Pro. Is the fact it is backwards compatible makes it not next generation? I like the fact that I get to keep all my games and can get rid of my old console. I prefer upgrades like this.

I noticed that too but, I didn't want to be that guy. Lol. but he is right. With a 60+ million installed base that only comes out to less than 1.6 % of the installed base is playing the FREE demo.

Is Sport better than GT 5 and 6? Not just graphics? But, in sound and feel because 5 and 6 felt sterile and sounded bad on my 7.1 surround sound.

The pro was a minimal upgrade. You notice why they never compare the Pro to the X and instead compare the X to PC? Because the Pro is not even close to be mentioned. And we all know that.
And if you are like me and enjoy racing games and don't like PS4 "exclusives" then the X is well worth the price.
$399? Where did you get that from? How soon they forget the PS3? $499 and $599. Remember the Sony was asked about the high price they said people could work extra hours to pay the high price. $499 and $599 in 2006. You are entitled to your opinion. But, from what I have seen the X1X is a bigger improvement over the PS4 Pro than the PS4 was over the X1. The X1X appears to be such a leap over the PS4 Pro that they don't even compare it to the Pro and just compare it to PC. I don't remember them comparing the Pro to PC. The Pro now looks like a mistake. They should have made a bigger leap in performance like the X1X. Now the can't use there slogans "Games play better on PlayStation!...

That is just the base Xbox one s not the yet to be released Xbox one X. I wonder why they didn't compare the Xbox one s to the bear PS4. That would be a better comparison.

I would be surprised if it surpassed FM7 on X1X. So, far it hasn't in comparison that I have seen running 4k@60fps. For sure we know it is not even close when it comes to content. When will GTS give a full car list? Last I checked wasn't it around 150 compared to I think 700 on FM7.

Why didn't they compare GT Sport on the standard PS4 to Forza 7 on the standard X1? That would be a more equal comparison. Or wait for the X1X and compare it to the Pro? This is a misleading article.

Those are 2 old games. But you realize from this point forward just about ALL third party games will look and run better. That's just a fact. You see it now with all of the Pro's low quality textures in 4k in this game and Tomb Raider. And we both know that there are a lot more 3rd party games than exclusives combined on both consoles.
