I don't understand why they make a big deal about the sales in they UK ? Is it a bigger market than I realize?

I wonder where the people that was hyping this before it launched? I can understand people playing and than realizing it's not for them. But, no one showed up.
That's why I don't hype a game before I play it.
I think Microsoft has a great idea. It gives Game Pass value by allowing you to play games day one at a low monthly charge and then, six months or a year later, get all the money from PS5 owners.
It makes perfect sense. This is a business, and they are tapping into a new revenue stream. It is the same as Sony putting its games on PC. When they see all the money Microsoft makes, how long will it be before Sony games besides MLB come to Xbox?
According to this article they don't love physical copies if only 20% buy them. That's pretty low.

Have you seen the installed base comparison to sales on PS5. Alot are below 15% and some are less than 10%. Why do you think Sony are moving all of their "Exclusives " to PC, closing studios, operating income DROPPED @26%, and layoffs.

However, how does this development impact the upcoming game releases? Microsoft has a well-defined roadmap of games in development. I find the manufactured outrage surrounding this issue to be inconsequential. Perhaps this is a tactic employed due to a lack of compelling game offerings on PS5.

I know what you mean. It would be the same way Sony is forcing Insomniac to only make Marvel games. You have to let devs make the games they want to make.
