According to Jim Rayn Bungie will stays multi platform, independent, and gives Sony no exclusives for $3.6 billion to have Bungie advise with Sony's online services.

I read the article and Sony gets no exclusives from the deal. Bungie games stay multi platform. Couldn't they just hire them as consultants?

Game pass has new games day and date and PS now only has old games. That is not the same

Why would anyone care where a game came for as long as it's good and you get to play it. Even better when they are all included with Game pass day and date at no extra charge.

But, who cares they have plenty of studios now to make a lot of games exclusively for game pass day and date . No one with game pass cares where the games come from as long as we get a steady stream of games.

I read his statement if it's true and he has only been there a few months and as you see Activision was put all it's eggs in the COD basket. Now with MS backing they will hopefully has the financial backing to produce more games. Remember Activision was putting most of their resources into COD. Give him time after MS takes over to call B.S.

Activision will not make money on one console. It will be on console, PC, mobile, tablets, cloud, etc.. You are thinking too small only thinking about "Console wars" between Xbox and PS. It looks like MS has moved on to major players like Tencent and Google.

It's not Activision alone anymore. They have the backing Microsoft now.
From what has been reported Activision approached Microsoft for that reason. Now, they have the money to develop their other IPs. That will give GP more games.

So what Phil has said meant that game on Gamepass are available everywhere, console, mobile, tablets, PC, and cloud. Just not PS. But, Sony could always offer Gamepass.
Remember Sony said EA play was bad for their customers. Then later allowed it. Why can't PS allow Game pass?

Even with sales "down" COD still out sells just about all 1st party games by a large margin. For example Returnal only sold less than 600k So, 12 million just on PS alone does sound bad at all.
