Actually Mario Galaxy is up to a 98 w/ those 28 reviews.

While I agree that casuals don't buy as many games and that the Wii has the highest percentage of casual gamers, I think the Wii will make Nintendo and 3rd-parties a lot of money because Wii development costs are far lower than development costs for PS3 and 360 games. PS3 and 360 games have to sell more copies than Wii games in order to break even, so Wii titles can make money without selling nearly as many units.
It all remains to be seen though.
I now have Mario Galaxy sitting on my desk right in front of me. OMFG torture! Can't wait to play it tonight.
Are Uncharted and Assassin's Creed better than Mario Galaxy? I have yet to play any of the 3 so I'm just wondering.
Ignoring the existence of Mario Galaxy seems to be working well for you.
Wow, are you ok? That is by far the most thought-provoking and pertinent comment from you I've seen on this site ever.
Edit @ above:
ROFL k just making sure you're alright =)
Weird, I could've sworn that I bought my Wii mainly because I knew it was the only console getting high-quality software developed by Nintendo. Also, my non-gamer friends will never touch a 360 or PS3 but find the Wii controls fun and engaging. Anyone who actually owns a Wii knows that swinging your arms around to play is totally optional.
Interesting that you mention the component cables. I actually have a set of components in transit right now to my mailbox. I only have an SDTV but the only available composite inputs for me to connect my Wii into are on the front, which my gf says "looks ghetto" haha. So I ordered the components since there are unused component inputs on the back, leaving the TV looking as pristine as possible when my Wii is connected w/ those. Any improvement in picture quality will be a nice b...
Excellent post and welcome. I have been putting off buying this game because I am still playing MP3 and GH3, and Mario Galaxy will be taking up much of my time soon.
I too have never played a previous Fire Emblem game, and am actually almost offended that Gamespot would dock the score for its "Frustrating difficulty [that] will alienate newcomers." It almost seems like they are singling out newcomers in an attempt to put a negative spin on the difficulty. I persona...
"Someone tell Mr. Kang that slamming the competition's hardware is so 2006."
LOL!
Anyway, he didn't define what exactly "short-term" means so he could be right or wrong. Plus, the Wii isn't even out yet in South Korea* and it's still very popular worldwide.
In other news, Ford says their Explorer is better than Chevy's Tahoe.

Ya I would've liked Nintendo to *add* support for AAC instead of replacing MP3 w/ AAC, which is why I'm suspicious of this move.
Ya I'm lookin to pick up Fire Emblem also. 9/9/8.5 are awesome scores.
Work it Maestro!
I've actually never used the Photo Channel but switching to AAC from the most common music format just seems suspicious to me for some reason. Possible ulterior motives? iTunes integration?
My condolences for your loss.
"Game of the year here, folks. Haters am cry."
Beat you to it, Syko =)
How long did you play it?
Ya I was watching TV last night and all of a sudden my Wii started glowing so I downloaded this channel and spent some time browsing at all the posted Miis. Some where downright hilarious.
lol everyone's so uptight about this.
Obviously the magazine has decided that the game is not only perfect, but has exceeded their expectations. That's their opinion, and giving the game an 11/10 is just a whimsical way of expressing that. Of course if you are taking the score literally, then it is mathematically impossible.
Don't get too caught up in the details without realizing what the review score boils down to, which is that Mario Galaxy is a great game. ...
Ya I would've loved to be playing FFIV on my DS this Christmas but w/ the voice-acting, I assume the localization process is taking more time than usual.
