Over reaction incoming... 3, 2, 1. Pre-Order Cancelled! OMG! Why, Why! Ubi Lied!!!
Wasn't there a preview event in April where a bunch of press got to see and play W_D? Wasn't the overall reaction of those previews positive, nothing like this preview... Yet, this is the one that most people will reference. Is this real life?
Ughh... take the fanboy googles off. MS has been making an effort to change things since E3, not the past couple of weeks. Big changes like this don't take a couple weeks. Before the 360 and a few years after launch, MS was making great gains with the industry. They put so much effort into getting good games and good will. They were on top, they got lazy at the end there.
Sony, were on top during the PS2 era. Cocky and fell face first. They spent the first 3/4 years of th...
Analyst... are like weather men, not right very often.
@AngelicDiamond ... Sad, you don't understand why Sony had to lie? Can you confirm that Sony knew it was going to be 30 FPS, but then said it was 60 FPS to sell more copies? cause you're talking like some who already knows or someone who is biased against Sony... You know, automatically skews toward the negative.
who the hells knows what happened. what if behind closed doors Ubisoft was trying to get it to 60, Sony got excited... Announced it, Ubi came back and said i...
I think it was a misunderstanding
Yea, I saw that interview where the guy from Sony said "Watch Dogs is 60 FPS on PS4"... I heard it from his mouth.
Well... since we're brining up old news what about "DRM Flip-Flop". "We can't just flip a switch! The system was built for this, it's impossible" - Major Nelson.
MS totally lied about that stuff, tried to say DRM was for your benefit... yet millions of people still purchased and enjoy their X-1's... This won't be the last time either company lies/mistakenly claimed something to get you on the hook... millions went out and purchased a PS...
How would they have done this? TitanFall was shown last year at E3. Less than 1 year later COD:AW was revealed. Unless the dev's over at Sledge are Wizards, that's not enough time. Creative minds think alike, they just do. Especially the way the world is now, everybody is connected. Everyone is pretty much exposed to the same things, so similar ideas shouldn't be much of a surprise.
MS saw that they had a chance to lure away a dev that was once "only" Sony... and they took it. Good on them, glad to see Insomniac is happy.
I guess some of the rumors were true. Insomniac wanted to retain their own IP's was one of the rumors. Another rumor was that Insomniac wanted to become 1st party, but Sony refused so... but who knows. One thing is clear, things have soured between Sony and Insomniac.
I think the article makes some fair points, but... I think both companies had/have the same goal: Mainstream. They just took totally separate routes to do so.
Sony: Starting off as a niche, targeting the hardcore who will buy/adopt early hoping the they will spread the word and slowly introduce more media options: Playstation Now & and their own Playstation TV/program ala carte streaming. Start by targeting a small group and slowly expanding to a larger group.

them next-gen veins!!! dude is jacked up on something.
JACKED DLC: Veins Bro!
Looks promising!
@PorkChop
All true. It's not ripping off when the idea of exoskeleton's used for military purposes have been around for awhile, it some form or another.
Activision says they've moved to a 3 year cycle. If you don't believe them, not directed at porkChop, then don't. All we know is that Activision is saying they've moved to a 3 team rotation giving each team 3 years. And from the trailer it looks like a new engine... or as they like to ...
Looks interesting. Definitely getting that Dark/Deamon Souls vibe from it!!! Wish there was better quality screens... and a better website to view it on. I don't know why that website works that way, to view the next image in the gallery it reloads the entire page... sorry, just ranting a little.
OT, can't wait to see the "official" reveal!
@UnbiasedOpinions
"We allow you to customise the start time and the time compression (time lapse) in every race you set up, so you have lots of flexibility yourself"
When the headline read "No Real-Time Day/Night cycle" they were referring to actually stimulating your local time of day. They'll let you set the time of day and the how fast the time passes. That headline was misleading for those who only read headlines.

@Ronin_GTChin
Imagining if you had a friend who was RICH. Everything you have/seen/visited, he also has... but much better than you. Now imagine if when ever you recall those fond memories... he's there just waiting to remind you that his was better. Of course it's true, he's rich. You say you're going to Japan this summer and you're really excited, your friend chimes in with "Ehhh... been there a few times, it was okay. Where you really need to visi...
I still don't know why... why this was a thing. This was never really an urban legend. There was an article in the NY Times, according to Giantbomb, that detailed why they dumped the copies. They never tried to hide it's location, the copies were dump at an actual DUMP... a landfill.
As for the documentary... I now know what happens in the end.
@Lukas Ppffft... U know Trolls don't read!!! MPOG only goes to PS4 related articles to try and convince people that Sony is a HORRIBLE company that LIES all the time. Nothing like that other company!
Keep fighting the good fight!
@MysticStrummer I hope they bring it to PS4 SOON! I've only recently gotten into MMO's and I can kinda see the appeal.
assuming the Chinese like the same games as the west. Most of Asia have traditionally been MMO players. COD, one of the most popular and successful franchises in the world, has a hard time making a dent in Asia.
The Asian market is, unfortunately, a weird one. They never seem to go with what's popular.
@Lawboy2
Yeah, but this is HALO! what other franchise/series/whatever is a bigger deal than HALO on Xbox?
In all honesty it seems like some people don't under stand the concept of "hype" No they're not showing their biggest franchise EVER because they have something bigger to announce at E3... it's to build hype. They're teasing the hell out of HALO fans, giving you bread Crums here and there building up hype so that you'll tune ...
