Wasn't the X-1's setup more expensive because of the ESRAM?
I really don't get the thinking behind a "hidden" GPU... why sit there and have the internet/articles ream you in the arse for months and say nothing about this secret that you have up your sleeves? That's just crazy. Were they just biding their time... what company would think that was a good strategy?
VR headset... Haptic gloves... soon we'll be logging into the OASIS!
I'm not at all versed in PC/Console tech, but from what I've read over the years... doesn't DirectX benefit PC more than anything?
"It is nearly time for Microsoft to reveal the secrets behind DirectX 12 and what it will offer PC gaming going forward."
I really don't know, can anybody explain?
Can't wait to get my tentacles on this game!
@Sly-Lupin he's basically saying...
"HA, HA... People returned their PS4s, cause it SUCKS" (sticks tongue out and runs away laughing)
I think, or I could be very wrong.
"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing"
The very quotable... Vince Lombardi
Even though you didn't say it, that's what I got from your video... good video, and I'm glad you like PS+.
I don't necessarily think "brand loyalty" is a bad thing... I think "blind" loyalty is a bad thing.
Hopefully they'll start the marketing campaign any... time... now... soon?
They've honestly gotten better at pushing a game, but no where near as much as they should. I'm so confused that a company like that has such little interest in marketing. Who knows they may have been waiting for the TitanFall launch and ad runs to go first, then start the InFamous ad runs so that it would have the stage to itself...
wow, has there ever been a game that's been pushed this hard? Seems like TitanFall is being pushed by the entire industry to not fail. Where is this coming from? Maybe to quell the whole "consoles are dying" theme some seem to want to bring up all the time.
That word of mouth comes from the hardcore that look online tho, right? Are you the "designated" gamer in your family/friends circle? I am and they ask me what they should be playing or paying attention to.
I might be a special case, but I get most of my news/gaming news and info from the internet... I don't watch very much TV.
@EXVirtual
That's my understanding as well. DirectX12 is a set of software tools that help Dev's better code to the metal getting more out of the GPU and raising efficiency... That's why I always thought that this would benefit PC's a lot more than console. PC would benefit more, not saying X-1 wouldn't, from DX12 than X-1.
I'm not sure why you got a disagree. The tools will get better on both systems. But the thing that won't chan...
Argh... damn these fat fingers! Mean to say "wouldn't be long enough"
@SteamPowered
The only thing I'm saying is online hype is real, it was real for TitanFall. I can list all the TitanFall articles in my post but this page wiuldnr be long enough. TitanFall had huge amounts of online hype, that's the truth.
@porkChop @TwelveBitHero
I'm not agreeing with @GribbleGrunger but IDK why you guys are scoffing at online "hype". Wasn't TitanFall's hype ALL online? It was getting hyped at all the big gaming websites, and all the popular forums... was that "hype" not real?
I've only recently seen TitanFall commercials on TV. But, the hype trains started much earlier than that... online.
I really don't get how you guys aren't getting this... EA didn't sell the rights to anybody. EA doesn't own the IP, Respawn does. The reason Respawn is even a thing is because they wanted control of their own IP, they wanted to own their own IP. The only possible thing that EA could have sold is full exclusivity!
There is a chance that MS could have bought Respawn, but that would mean that they're now under someone again... just like they were with Activis...
@Blaze929
Vince would know if he sold the franchise to MS. EA doesn't own the IP, they published the game... they don't own it. Vince owns the IP, if MS did buy anything it could be full exclusivity... forever. But in order for MS to buy the IP they would have to buy it from Vince.
Ughh... The game doesn't look as good as it use to, but I'm a sucker for open world games and the concept of this game... so I'm getting it.
Sad to see him go. But I hope for his sake that he retires, all those years couldn't have been easy on him. Time to hang up the suits and loafers and put on the Hawaiian shirts, shorts, and flipflops.
I hope they at least keep him on as an outside adviser. Anybody know if Jack has an stake in Sony stocks?
Ahh... ok, thanks!
