Indi developers do at least think outside the box.
I know a few folks with Zunes, but most of them didn't ever own an iPod before hand.

The Xbox 360 was in short supply for approx 6 months.
If it was like the Wii it probably would've sold more in those first few months.
PS3 has a good supply and only saw a shortage in the first month or so.

They currently do internal checks to see how far their off from the NPD est.
But even the NPD est. are off since they don't include Wal-Mart.
As it stands the PS3 is on the same path as the 360 or at least near it.
The Wii is on it's own path.
VGcharts is only about 15-18% off the actual figures or avg.
They are pretty darn close to the NPD figures and that doesn't even include Wally World..which is 40% of the retail market.

As far as I know Cable/Directv are stuck at 1080i due mostly bandwidth issues.
Many like Fox opted for the better 720p since you can get more frames then say in 1080i.
I could see both formats supporting 2k res sooner or later.
But if I'm not mistaken HVD the next gen HD discs will use the higher resolutions.
I say by 2010-11 1080p will be a bit like 480p is now.

Yes, now more studio's will start using RED's 4K camera for more then just CGI shots.
We need this new std to even use 4K cam's and beyond.

Disney will go wherever Apple goes. If Apple supports both then Disney will probably do that too.
