Matchmaking and chat is coming. Nintendo has already stated this. As for mobile features, if you're talking about smartphone then you're missing the point. It's a gaming machine first and foremost. It just needs to be able to play games.
In terms of whether more people play docked vs handheld you can't really determine that. Even on this site it's hard to know who mostly plays handheld vs docked.
It's barely a month old, give it ...
Zelda is the best open world game I've ever played. The fact that there is very little hand holding, and no artificial boundaries to direct gameplay and story it's amazing.
I just got Horizon and will compare them later, but I honestly think Zelda is the new standard for open world games.
It's more powerful than the PS3 and close in power to the Xbox One. It's not severely lacking in power. PS4 and Xbox one are weaker than PCs yet they still thrive.
The Switch will change the gaming industry in the same way laptops changed the PC industry. I see a lot of multi console owners getting multiplatform games on the Switch simply because of portability.
I just got this game but I'm worried that Breath of the Wild has spoiled open world games for me.
No, but they're usually boring and immature.
I second Graceful Explosion Machine. The game is so good. After I beat it I'll pick up Resogun on PS4 (unless it's on PC as well).
If it was much better, why did it die?
I don't normally do preorders, but I preordered this game. I'm so excited.
Everything is unlocked on the Switch version
Many people haven't played this game so it will be new to them.
EDMIX you argue like a child... I don't think you know how game engines work.
The devs are trying to compare their tiny game to Zelda. I love the game but it's a pretty bad port to the Switch.
Hopefully they fix the frame rate issues soon.
I'm happy for Nintendo. I'm excited for the future of the Switch.
Have you considered that they actually like the Switch because it brings something different. I am no Nintendo diehard I've only owned the N64, Wii, and now Switch.
As I own a gaming PC, PS4, and Switch, I love the Switch for being a hybrid system. I see myself buying a significant number of multiplatform games on it simply because I can take it on the go.
The console space is already crowded. Nintendo realized this and went a different route. What&...
cha0sKnightmare your comment is funny because so far I've only seen adults with a Switch. I don't think Nintendo is going after that market because that space seems to be taken up by Sony and Microsoft. I think Nintendo is going to focus on creating new experiences that are just pure fun.
I'm honestly tired of all the violent bullet/gore filled games, aside from a handful of titles on the PS4 I find most multiplatform games boring. I'm tired of all the shoot...
If you included the N64 in your argument you don't know what you're talking about. That system got many good 3rd party games.
I agree with you completely. I don't know why people don't grasp this. I don't want ports of FF15, or the latest Call of Duty game. I want experiences tailored to the Switches strengths. People bash the Wii for lack of 3rd party support but the system got some really fun and amazing games like No More Herores 1 & 2, Mad World, Zack and Wiki, House of the Dead, and Boom Blox. Those games were tailor made for the Wii. I'd love to see a similar thing happen with the Switch. ...
Lol downvoted for asking a question. That's rich.
TheUndertaker85 those games are coming. Nintendo didn't claim that those third party games will come at launch. No console has an amazing library at launch. Be patient.
How could you possibly know that most people won't use the functionality?
