It has an 89% right here on N4G, if reviewers keep giving it a 9 it will never get to 90% unless they are infinite 9s, and most reviews have come in already, it's at about 35 give or take. This is what Motorstorm 1 should have been. So imagine if this was Motorstorm 1, would you be satisfied with *this* game? Same with Gears 2. The few extra feats don't make it a true sequel, just an upgrade.

Never had that much fun with an FPS, it's like you're playing the campaign and multiplayer at the same time. With so many enemies on screen, players besides you, the classes and the XP and the really good graphics... I don't see how this game can't be shooter of the year.
Then again a few press outlets always manage to see where to deduct points from PS3 games (Eurogamer, Edge, Gamespot, you know...)

The final dev kits for PS3 weren't released until June 2006, WAAAY after 360 launched and even then most developers didn't get a final dev kit until little after the PS3 launched; the first ones to get the first dev kits were first party, including insomniac, but even then it was about 8 months after the finalized 360 dev kits came out.
The 360 final dev kits came out little before 360s launch, in June 2005 they were using PowerPC machines, but again the dev kits were finalize...
The problem is, this is the Motorstorm that should have come out 2 years ago. 4 player split-screen has existed on games since the N64. Big games are a must especially with blu-ray. That should have been a given on the first motorstorm. Better graphics are also a given 2 years later. Different scenarios should also be a given.

The graphics weren't quite the same as the ones found on the last Fable. Then again it's a little higher. BTW, Peter Molyneaux said it best regarding the score he would five his own game. Not humility, just honesty.
This game hasn't been reviewed by many, and this is Eurogamer, which is either very tough, anti-PS3, or both. They gave God or War 2 a 7 out of 10, which is ridiculous. I trust IGN more, but I'll also wait for Gamepro, Game Informer, Games Radar, Game reactor, and others to give their opinion on this one.

Resistance 2 is a 3rd gen title, so is Halo 3. Not only that, but Halo 3 is Xbox 360s most important game, and Resistance 2, while very important for PS3, is just one of many. The 360 is also easier and faster to develop for.
The comparison is very fair. Of course Resistance 2 looks better, they're actually taking advantage of the extra power that PS3 gives over 360 unlike most devs which simply want to even out the field. Just the way Killzone 2's textures destroy Gears textur...
This game requires technological innovation. Mario Galaxy is far away from that, it's just a pretty game with new controls, not a whole new experience like LBP. The Nintendo of the past is never coming, they'll only make gimmicks and rehash classics from now on.
I loved it until MK4 came out. However, even if the games weren't great afterwards, I still liked the storyline.

Hardware is really expensive nowadays, I refuse to take another $400-$600 plunge in 2-3 years when we're barely starting to see next-gen games and developers take advantage of all the new features of consoles. I'd like all consoles to last 10 years, but 360 with its measly DVD9 and no HDD, and the Wii with its crippled hardware, I think only PS3 could survive that much, but even then if Microsoft launches a new system the PS3 could start looking old even if its storage capabilities are still ...
