After I beat the game(barely could force myself to keep playing) I felt robbed. Where the hell did my $60.00 go? How can a game look this bad, play like shit, have bugs out the ass, and still cost as much as a full retail game? Sniper:Ghost warrior had glitches, but it was only $40.00 and they didn't lie to us and say it would be amazing. Gearbox I officiallyhate you and will never support ANY of your future games regardless of how they look(after all you made this game look great), and in ...
Still, either way they should have informed the public that the game wouldn't look or play as well as what they were claiming. Hell, they're still showing badass looking trailers that seem like actual gameplay. No excuse for this. It's false advertising, and they should be punished.
This game needs to commit suicide like Ripley did.I beat it today and honestly it's one of the only times recently that I've played a game and when it was over my first reaction was, "Thank God it's over." Damn, I had a feeling I should've just waited and bought Metal Gear Rising, and I really feel sorry for those poor suckers that forked out $30.00 extra for the season pass because no one will be playing this peice of shit by the time the first DLC hits.
Who is actually all that excited for FUSE?mTo many amazing games coming out to care about FUSE. I think I know what Insomniacs problem has always been; they do realize a game should sell well, and then you can make more right? Seems like they've always done things ass backwards. I love my PS3 but Resistance is most definetly the weakest franchise on the system. How many copies did Resistance 3 sell again? 10,000??? I'm not being an ass but the truth is the truth, they should've ju...
Yeah it does remind me of Homefront, but Homefront didn't have a loyal fanbase that demanded more, and it was developed by the same people that made Frontlines:FoW so people probably expected it to suck I know I did. This however is a completely different story Gearbox LIED about the game, and even though I'm enjoying the game co-op I would not have ANY fun playing solo.
Also, I really hate that they offically called this story part of the canon, but at the same time it's ...
While I'm actually enjoying the game(only playing it co-op with friends) it's sad because Aliens had the potential to be one of the best horror/action games this generation. If Gearbox spent as much time developing the game instead of creating fake demos and hyping it, it would've sold like hotcakes. Now instead we're left with this bland looking game. I have no doubt they'll eventually be sued for false advertising, and in all honesty they deserve it. If they loved the Al...
I'm actually enjoying the game. The graphics are horrible I'll give you that, but then again so were the graphics for Left 4 Dead and it was a blast. If you're getting it to play MP or co-op and don't go into the game expecting it to blow you away you'll have fun with friends. It's not AMAZING, but it's certainly no 4/10; I'd rate it at probably a 7.5/10. I'd love to see what a developer like ID or even 2K(Bioshock) could do with the Alien franchise.
Well, this sucks. I was really hoping this game would be great. I spent $120 on this game(bought my dad and I a copy)so I was really expecting something on the same level as Borderlands.Guess I'll just have to play it for myself and make my decision then. At least if it does suck we still have next month to look forward too.
I really feel bad for the people from Big Huge Games who just lost yet another job within the same year. In all seriousness if it were me I'd be questioning my career decisions right about now if I were them. Hope they find their feet. I loved Kingdoms of Amalur and was excited to see what they could've acomplished under a studio like epic.
@ Freddy_Millz1
I couldn't agree more. People act like most games are shipped with half the game missing. If a developer wants to offer something like this I'm perfectly fine with that. Developers have to recoupe the huge development costs somehow, and I have no problem with MOST of their practices. If I want it I'll by the DLC if not, well I wont, but the option to buy DLC most of the time is never a bad thing.
Yeah Uhm, I was talking about this-gen so yeah this argument isn't null and void.
It can't be as generic as any COD released within the last 5 years. I for one am looking forward to pcking up my copy on Tuesday.
Still, it looks like an awesome game. I've been waiting a long time for a proper Aliens game(AVP doesn't count) It's cool that they got Lance Henriksen and Beihn to reprise their roles as well. 4 player co-op campaign is nice as well. I don't like them announcing DLC before the game has even shipped, but lets be serious for a moment, if we didn't buy games that had DLC or season passes announced before the game then we wouldn't buy any game.
It's actually a very fair price. This is what I was expecting; I knew Sony had learned from the $600 launch of the PS3. Can't wait, come on Feb 20th you're not getting here quick enough.
Can't wait to see what Naughty Dog is able to pull off with the PS4, especially after a couple of years when they really learn what they can do. Their first game will look great, but their second game will probably blow us away. Just look at the graphical improvements from UC1 to UC2 it's mind blowing.
Either way I'm more than ready for next-gen to roll around, and I can't wait until the 20th Ijust wish it would've been aired live like E3 because watching...
@taquito Are you crazy? Seriously, that's a legitmate question; I only ask because it seems you didn't play the same Uncharted series that I played. Uncharted 3 didn't look leaps and bounds better than UC2, but it did look better. The cargo ship and desert levels are proof of that. Also, have you not seen beyond:two souls?
Graphics can always improve on a system even if only slightly, as long as the developer puts enough care and work into their craft. Naughty Dog has prov...
yeah, any copy as long as it's new. Already got my GOW pre-ordered. Of course that had noting to do with The Last of Us, but I was def excited. Now the big question; do i play the demo first or GOW:Ascension?
I was excited for this game before I saw the crafting and atmoshpere, but after seeing that and watching the vid on IGN my excitement just went through the roof. Two different types of infected, human enemies, and a complete crafting system? Oh yeah, bring it on baby. Definetly count me amongst those who will be at the midnight launch.
Dead Space was one of the only truly refreshing horror experiences this console generation; it's sad that EA has alienated it's fanbase as we are the ones responsible for making it as big of a franchise as it is. Couldn't say I didn't see it coming though. If after one game a company starts talking film properties, cartoons, and expanding the universe prematurely you know things can only end badly.
On a side note: I'd very much like to punch Randy Pitchford in the face, like really really hard....With my fist.No... both fists!!!
