and about 30 games; the console hasn't been moved from it's location since the day I bought it. No problems, no rings of death, not one scratch on a disc, and it's not loud enough to notice the disc drive or fans when a game is playing over the 5.1 system.
I personally think, about 99.9 percent of the trash talk about the 360's problems can be chalked up to Sony marketing propaganda.
And incidently, my 360 has already lasted longer than either of my first 2 PS2s...
its been changed to late September.
the current hi-def standard (1080i and 720p) was instituted nearly 20 years ago, and still has not been fully implemented. Broadcast networks and stations still have over a year before they are required to convert to digital transmission.
The ability to broadcast multiple digital streams within what used to be analog bandwidth is proving highly valuable to the broadcasters; they aren't going to give up 2 or 3 channels worth of bandwidth to transmit one channel at some future, ...
Unless some one challenges it in court (possible) and the judge rules the law unconstitutional (doubtful in New York, possible in the midwest or south) this law will stand. After all, you CAN regulate the sale of all kinds of products to minors.

when I get back to Boise, Friday. How about a review when you've run a few laps.

Everyone knows the PS3 is a super computer!

most people didn't actually read the article. The prices wont be dropping further without some sort of technological break-thru. The prices have hit bottom and started back up. Some companies have had to sell screens at less than manufacturing cost and are therefor cutting back production. Other companies are ceasing production all together. The price of an LCD TV will be higher in the future, not lower.
If congress passes it's new copyright law, (and it looks like they will, the entertainment industry has bought most of both houses) software, music and video pirates will go to prison. Some of the possible infringements carry life sentences.
Chuck Yeager.
Red Baron. (Especially if it could be online.)
Strike Commander.
Almost forgot, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.
the 360 was also in short supply during its first 6 months.
I say brick the cheaters consoles.
People who cheat at online games tend to be the same ones who cheat their way thru school, or take credit for someone else's work on the job. If I could, I'd remove them all from the gene pool.
going back tomorrow, I downloaded the update this afternoon, then setup the download for the Forza2 demo and left for dinner.
When I got back I fired up the demo and guess what? It worked, and on a release day system, no less.
Will wonders never cease?
after all, it's a super computer that can fold!
(sniff, sniff) I think I smell sarcasm.
technology, when they obviously were incapable of passing fifth grade english?

But I, for one, don't need it. My launch day Premium is perfect, I've had my big hi-def TV for years, it doesn't even have HDMI, 1080i is good enough since that's what most of the networks are broadcasting in (the ones that don't use 720p). The small HD's in the bedrooms aren't used for games (so HDMI is still irrelevent). I had the house wired for ethernet when I built it, so I don't need WiFi (though I have it for my laptops). I won't buy a hi-def DVD player until the format war is sett...
Get a life, people!
