They want to conquer Europe perhaps. Whilst they have the UK, mainland Europe is predominantly Sony.
I remember back in the Megadrive days, I'd boot up games like Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi and just listen to the tracks via the options menu. Shame this feature has been lost, but I guess with the ascent of orchestras and famous composers being used, publishers would rather sell you the OST.
I have no perception about Durango, as I know nothing factual about its features, neither does the author. What I'm saying is, this article states they don't listen to consumers, when they haven't got any real hard evidence. Unless Durango is revealed and does have those anti-consumer features, how can anyone say they don't listen?
How has Microsoft's attitude towards the Win8 negativity been dismissive, when Windows Blue seems to have been created to ad...
For starters, it states that Microsoft doesn't listen. If Durango doesn't block used games/allows offline play, how can it state they don't listen, if they even intended it to in the first place.
If they don't listen to consumers, why does Windows Blue appear to address some of the biggest complaints against Windows 8?
The author didn't really know where to go with this article, just a bunch of rambling.
Love Crackdown, tied with JC2 as my 3rd favourite open world game this gen. GTAIV, RDR being 1 & 2 respectively.
Sony have only changed their policies this year, indies have always been able to self-publish on Live for $100 a year. Sony also wanted indies to hand over ownership of their IP, something Microsoft never went for.
For every Jonathan Blow, there is Milkstone Studios. For every Brian Provinciano, there's The Behemoth.
The sequel (currently titled Class 4) will be, although that may be a Durango title.
He has to drop the mic as he exits as well. Lol
You're looking at it wrong, as is the guy you're replying to.
Microsoft's intent with the timed DLC, was to break the Sony/GTA link. You see many forum posters state how they'll only buy GTA/MGS/FF games on a PS console, because that was either the only console brand they were available for, or it came out much later on other consoles.
Now, in GTA's case you hear that less.
Going by the article, I think they'll just take into account how long you've been a Bungie Net member.
I haven't logged onto their site since they handed over the Halo content, but they'll know I've been a member for ages and can reward me upon Destiny sign-up.
@clint See my link above. Cold, hard numbers man. 2nd accounts doesn't matter when the money pours in like that.
As for your smaller user base theory, provide numbers. My launch 360 died December 2008 after a 1.5 years, got a free replacement 9 days later. Refurbished 360's don't count towards Microsoft's sales figures.
@TKCMuzzer Microsoft pull in close to a billion dollars per year through Live; http://kotaku.com/5581839/x...
Microsoft won't be making a lot of money from those gamers who don't use Live, so they probably deem it worth the risk. I don't think it's a good idea, but they'll turn a profit regardless.
That's BS. Microsoft have 40 million+ subscribers to Live, they've sold over 70 million 360's. How is that a small percentage of gamers with internet?
Sony had to go on the charm offensive with indies with the PS4, considering how they treated them in the past year...

That Durango, he's so hot right now!
The quote below makes me excited to see what they've got in store, can't wait!
"They are doing some really cool stuff, and I'm eager to hear them start their announcements because I think the world is going to stand up and take notice,"
There won't be a full game of this, it's just a demo.
Absolutely loved this game on PC, hope it does well on PS. I'll download it again if they add it to PS+ in the future.
Precisely. Funny how that's conveniently never mentioned by these articles.
Agreed. Considering that it was a present day setting too, without the benefit of being able to look at the pasts best music, made it a better accomplishment for me.
