This game is made of win. Cannot wait to get my copy tomorrow.
Cannot wait. The single player looks to be the best in the series and the added multiplayer will be a real breath of fresh air.
This chick has some video of the PS3 version. I think she is with some gaming site in Germany or something. Anyway, the video quality is low, but the PS3 version looks good and runs fairly well from what can be seen. That is the version that I am going with. Here is the link to her channel.

I quit playing the first one after about an hour and never gave Saints Row 2 a chance. The bling, bling gangsta thing is just a bit much for me, but I have to admit that Saints Row 2 looks insanely fun and hilarious to boot. I just ordered the double pack and decided that I am going to give the series another chance. I am just going to take the gangsta vibe in stride and view it from a more comedic perspective.
Looks fucking fantastic. So much so, that anyone who denied it would look like an utter fool for doing so.
Best comment here.
The bugs are just a random thing. I am 14 hours in on the 360 version and have only encountered a few freezes. Had zero issues tonight after playing over 4 hours. Still, I am thankful that it will be patched soon enough. The important thing here for me is that the game itself is just fucking fantastic.
All I am hearing in the AAA reviews is, "The story is pure cheese, the voice acting is atrocious and it is way too short... but these things don't count for this game because it is so fun to play."
I am quite sure it is a blast, I loved the demo. However, what irks me is when things like short length, horrible story and voice acting is deemed to be OK for some games, while other games get slammed for it. Nothing against Vanquish, as I plan to pick it up one day...
Same thing happened with Red Dead Redemption. Bugs and glitches galore, yet it has been praised as the greatest thing since sliced bread. As for myself, it was probably the biggest disappointment of the year.
At any rate, I think that I will fully enjoy New Vegas more than Fallout 3... bugs and all. I'll be popping it in this afternoon and will find out soon enough.
The 360 version is more crisp overall. The PS3 version is quite jaggy and has a much blurrier draw distance as well. Looks to be about the same differences as there were with Fallout 3. Glad I picked the 360 version up this time.
Exactly, man. Hell, I know it is a great game. I loved the demo and I even had it pre-ordered for awhile. I just cannot justify paying $60.00 for such a short game. Especially with all of the other quality titles that I am going to have on my plate. I think I will enjoy it much more either as a rental or as a pick up on the cheap.
It may be a short ass game, but no way is it a fucking 5. How is this guy still employed? Destructoid is actually an OK site, it is this Jim Sterling cat that is the problem. His reviews are a straight-up joke and he only does this for attention. He only needs to be allowed to have a blog, not be put on fucking Metacritic. I mean, my God.
Everyone ragging on Game Informer, while conveniently forgetting how nearly every developer ALWAYS exaggerates how long their game is. Why is Platinum Games the exception here, because of Mikami and is rep? It is what it is, folks... a short ass game.
I am sure it is a blast, though. I plan to either rent it one day or pick it up when it is extremely cheap. As re-playable as it may be, I am not paying 60.00 for a 4 hour game.
Yes, back in the 8 bit days nob...
Looks better than ACII to me. I'll be picking this one up for sure.
An old school shooter with an actual focus on the campaign... I love it. It was of course already a buy because of it's history, but this just sweetens the deal in terms of value for me. As I want bang for my buck.
I plan to get Move later on down the road as it is. This would only further solidify it. The Star Wars geek in me simply could not resist the power of the Darkside overwhelming me to reach for my wallet.
Yes, I get that and if that is fine for you, then good deal. As for myself, however, I simply cannot justify paying 60.00 for so little content... replayable or not.
If it was priced as a short, replayable arcade game then I would be all over it. As it stands, this is not worth $60.00 for me, but I am sure it is a blast. I'll pick it up when it is cheaper and will enjoy it all the more for it.
I loved the demo and had it pre-ordered, but there was just something that told me to hold off on this one. Glad I canceled my pre-order a couple of weeks ago. I am sure the game is a blast, but no way in hell am I paying 60.00 for a 5 hour game, with no multiplayer.
I had made up my mind that I was done with shooters for the year, but Treyarch went full bore on this game and it shows. Besides, I love the way Call of Duty plays too much to miss out on it. Pre-ordered and day one.
No argument from me. It's a spawn camping, nade spamming paradise. They should have just made it the size of a typical neighborhood block at the very least. As it stands, it is nothing more than a claustrophobic camp-fest culdesac. Just an awful design.
