Hmm. That's very interesting. Now their shape doesn't seem so random, but I still think they make terribly stupid pokemon.
Yikes. 12 is saying he's going to withhold judgement on 3DS because last time, when he predicted the DS would flop, he was wrong. That's it.
Plus Zelda is an adventure game, not really an RPG by most standards.
People only think Mario gets a free pass because they've bought into the idea that story=fun. Mario is being judged as a platformer. In a platformer, you want to play, not be stopped all the time. I think Galaxy 2 has too much story. A story will in no way affect how I run and jump through a level, so screw it. Mario games (not including party or sports titles, which don't always fare well) get high scores because they're a blast to play.
Many reviewers don't ...
"It's not that bad"
Nobody is saying this. They are saying "10/10".
Why is this woman's opinion news?
Nintendo would never in a million years allow Uwe Boll to make a Metroid movie.
Wh-what? Is he really called Robotnik in this one? Oh please say it's so! I have always despised the name "Eggman". Robots are cool, while eggs are lame.
As for whether this game looks good, well, it's always impossible to tell this early. Unfortunately, the odds of it being any good are extremely slim judging simply by the ratio of good Sonic games to bad ones.
~The More You Know~ *ding ding ding*
The 5 million isn't for the one guy. In a class action lawsuit, a lawyer (usually) finds a group of similarly affected individuals. The more people who were affected, the stronger the case. If the class wins the lawsuit, they split the money, so 5 million dollars split up among everybody involved may be just enough for them all to buy new consoles. If one guy was asking for that much, I agree it'd be ridiculous.
That would be true if Greenpeace was in any way reputable. Nintendo is doing the right thing by ignoring them. They're loonies and terrorists.
This was a well-written and insightful review. I have said in the (recent) past that GameZone's writers aren't very good. I shouldn't have bunched them all together. There are clearly good writers there.
Hey man, you're entitled to your opinion, but acting like only idiots like Zelda when Ocarina of Time is almost unanimously considered the best game of all time by reviewers and consumers alike just makes you look bad.
It's always sad when people think they're too cool for fun.
Now, is 9.5 so much worse than a 10 that it's "in no way" worth 10? Wouldn't that imply it didn't even come close? A difference of .5 doesn't seem big enough to justify that claim. People grade on different scales. People who liked it just as much as you did but don't believe in a perfect game could easily give it the ten.
That last paragraph can be read as pretty snide, but I don't mean it that way. I've just seen a lot of people saying ...
Joking or trolling? Can't tell... Surely nobody's actually this much of a tool...
Eh... definitely not the best game this gen, IMO. The game was big and empty, many of the items were useless, and the bosses were incredibly easy. Actually, the entire game was easy. I never came close to losing all my hearts except for when you have to fight those two Darknuts (I think that's what they are) simultaneously. That was quite difficult, but the rest of the game wasn't a challenge at all. I tried to play it again to see if I still felt that way, but I quickly lost interest...
They seem to have fixed that example now. What I posted was copied and pasted from the original version.
For the records:
1) I don't hate their site. I've been there a couple times and noticed a good number of mistakes. The points made there are usually worth reading. They could be written better, though.
2) It is a fact that there are grammar mistakes in the article. A sentence begins with "but", for example. That isn'...
You're following me around the site to badger me?
Majora's Mask is my favorite as well. I cared most about the characters in that game. I would love another OoT-like experience, but I'm really hoping for another MM-esque, weirded-out Zelda some time in the future.
