I get the feeling these are chosen partially for their influence and not pure "goodness". DKC2 is better than the original, the Mario Galaxys are better than 64... A lot of games are better than these top five, but they ARE very IMPORTANT games that set standards.
But having the original Mariokart on there and not Double Dash is unacceptable. Double Dash has yet to be topped and the original was impressive for the time, but is a bit of a mess by today's standar...
Hm. Sorry, guy, but you're just not good enough for this game. I've played the originals to death and they're a breeze for me now. I'm glad this one provided the challenge that the old games USED to pose for me. I found it very seldom frustrating, and I've gotten 200%. Never once used the Super Guide either. I don't even know what Super Kong looks like. Anyway, this game is for me and veterans of the old games. If you're having a hard time, Kirby's Epic Yarn is...
Pachter-san wa baka desu ne?
This is the kind of article I want to see more of. A fascinating read. It's a shame nobody seems to care about it. Too much reading for this crowd, I suspect.
This isn't an example of freedom of speech being stifled. People have the right to voice their unfounded outrage. "Taliban" wasn't changed to "opposing forces" because of the government; it was changed so the game would sell better. They were free to call them whatever they wanted, but they chose to cave to the complainers so they'd still have good sales.
In my opinion, a hardcore gamer plays for the challenge, while a casual gamer plays just to play. Both are fine, and neither threatens the industry.
I'm looking forward to the imminent animated cutscenes with Phoenix.
I care. I think he's right. Gamers are jerks nowadays. Why does everybody resent the fact that other people play games too?
Sorry, dude. You can't act like you're too old for the "kiddy" stuff when you have yet to master third grade English.
In the case of DK, Kirby, and Goldeneye, people buy them because they want them. These are good, high-quality franchises. Yes, they've been around for a long time, but only because people still want them around. They're not cash-ins like you're saying, and CERTAINLY not shovelware.
Yeah, how rich are you people that you need 20+ games to buy over the holidays? I'm lucky if I get one home console game at Christmas. This is fine for me. If too many come out at once, they fall through the cracks and I never buy them.
Also, this article isn't news. Can we please stop with pure opinion pieces, especially if it's "_____ sucks" or "_____ is horrible"? There ARE mature people on here who would like to know what's going on in...
Ah. English is not your first language? Then I apologize for my harsh criticisms.
I quit reading after the second paragraph. Writers this inept don't deserve my time.
Oh noes! It's almost as dangerous as actually doing things.
Either you did mean to say "PCP" and I don't get the joke, or your comment is an embarrassment to everybody.
No system Nintendo's come out with will ever be obsolete, in my opinion. The reason is that even if another company copies the innovative aspect of the system and even does it better, Nintendo's systems have Nintendo's games. Nintendo always puts out top-notch software that you'll need a Nintendo system to play.
Kids shouldn't be using the 3D anyway. It's not good for their eyes. I'm thinking 3DS is going to be marketed a bit differently from the other DS's.
Ok, so they live in a city. That makes them more practical than I thought, but they still look stupid as all hell.
@hot4play
If having this tech integrated from the start was feasible, they'd have done it. Move comes with the tech, but it also came out years after the wiimote and also after motion+.
Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong... if you haven't played these, you haven't played video games. Make it right, Alee. Make it right.
