I mentioned game play in a thread about this game and people had a heart attack. It seems that what is being said here is similar to what some people have said going back to the first showings...it looks good but is it very repetitive when it comes to game play.
The AI tends to just run at you and while thats no entirely bad, if all you have is a couple of guns and a turret most of the time, things could get stale real quick.

I rented God of War on PS3...almost gave up on it but still managed to clear the game.
It was disappointing to me but not being a fan of hack and slash to begin with, this game didn't change that perception.
Hack and slash is brain numbing button mashing and silly button combinations. The platforming was good tho at times I wasn't entirely sure exactly what it was I was suppose to do or where to go.

Haven't played to many games this year. I don't know if any would be GOTY material to be totally honest but Crysis 2 was/is my favorite so far. The " next gen engine in the current gen " should be able to jump to the Wii U with out much trouble tho we are still waiting for some " REAL " console footage from 360/ps3. Down to 8 weeks or so and still nothing...O_o

I think that Killzone and Guerrilla ( yes we know they are first party ) would be a perfect fit for the XBL crazy X 360 ecosystem.
Killzone would rival Halo on 360 and could sell decently. Killzone 1 & 2 have their issues but for the most part the far superior Xbox 360 controller would cure most of the controller issues tho I did find the control scheme on KZ 3 very good and night and day better than Kz 2.

There are many tech demo's out there using a fraction of the resources that would be required in a fully featured game. I like seeing great graphics in a gaming situation with multiple AI in different shapes and sizes, different environments, sometimes vehicles, sometimes water but all the time awesome.
The next wave of consoles will be awe inspiring and according to AMD, who all of a sudden has gone all black out mode, the next Xbox 360 will rival the movie ...

Going by what Digital Foundry had to say about Portal 2 on 360, that isn't very good news for the 360 fanbase.
Valve needs to get with the program if they want to port games onto consoles. Yes, we all know the limitations of consoles at this point but with games like Halo reach, Crysis 2 and Gears 3 delivering incredible games/graphics with multiplayer and co-op modes to boot, there are no room for excuses.
