Microsoft are beating their chest about cloud computing. They might aswell couple it to the Halo bandwagon. Provided the cloud adds to the experience (and I think it will) then this is good news and a really good way to advertise its potential.
I don't mind the episodic story thing. Everyone knows Halo will be remade forever, all this means is that they will plan the sequel as the make the current version.
Some really good apps there! Especially the machinima, Netflix and 4OD ones. Its a shame 4OD isn't available in Ireland even though it works on the laptop.
One other thing - youtube will want to get their act together and release an app (didn't see one there). MUZU TV is a great competing service and the longer Youtube isn't there, the more customers will realise that MUZU is great.

If this does occur, then there will be backlash similar to reolutiongate. Sony will then bring out a more durable version and replace the earlier models.

I hope they don't. I was always a fan of XBox but never a fan of bing. Now I have a Windows phone I'm starting to see the potential of all my devices (except my Mac) being able to talk to each other. Especially with the Cortana app being developed by MS.

Not denying I'd prefer 1080 to no 1080. But its just part of the overall package. I still think the package is worth the purchase. I haven't preordered either console but have the money to buy one. Despite this I still intend to buy the xb1.

When you're playing this,in your living room you aren't gonna be thinking of the resolution. 1080p would be nice, but if I had to choose between that and snap function, rumble triggers, unreal online and kinect aided ease of use....the resolution would lose each time.
In a year Id say 1080 will be standard and Ill applaud, but the console was rushed and honestly Ill be more than satisfied with what it can offer on day one

Because its Treyarch and Infinity Ward every second year they really have 2 years breathing room. Still not enough. Infinity Ward were once the best developers around (maybe those guys went to respawn entertainment).
I'd kill Ghosts, let Treyarch keep the COD franchise going every 2-3 years and let Infinity Ward go off and make some new IP.
