I dunno about you guys, but in Canada, I pay for my unemployment insurance when I am working! I have to pay my EI, Pension and Provincial and Federal taxes.. So maybe this guy worked for 10 years straight, paid into his unemployment benefits and has every RIGHT to access them... Just like you would... Anyone or any company being bashed by the public is going to go on the defense so I don't blame Activision for defending itself, however, I do blame them for how they conduct their business. I blame them for a slew of shovel ware, bad ports, poor post release support, and a general lack of innovation... I however do not blame them for continuing this trend. I blame every single casual and hardcore gamer who continues to buy their crappy unoriginal and broken...
This guy is a senior analyst for a investment firm's entertainment division that is ranked #1 by Forbes.. While I agree some of the stuff he says is complete non sense or just plain obvious, he is however making boat loads of money. This is on top of the fact that we only hear a minor fraction of what he predicts, most of which will remain confidential to his company and their clients... I call BS to this article, mainly because Michael Patcher is just NOT that important for 'old'...
I don't think everyone is arguing that there is no benefit but rather that HHG just makes it seem like the 2nd coming of Christ. The guys is talking about how next gen gaming is here with 240Hz TVs. LOL.. Really? 240Hz was introduced for 2 reasons. 1) 3D- Delivering 3D is not an easy task and 240Hz allows for a less blurry and more fluid picture.. 2) MARKETING!! It is just like when HDTV came out.. Everything was 1080p and 720p and then marketing LED TVs so that it appeared to be this NEW...
I jumped from a 46" 1080p 60Hz LCD and the only MAJOR difference is lighting and contrast.... To me the best in terms of graphics would be KZ3... GT5 3D ain't even that 'great'

I agree and disagree.. For me, it is all about the developer! In this case, I have refused to give Ubisoft any of my $ this generation. One of the largest development companies in the business and all their games look, play, sound, and feel the same, not to mention the shovel ware they put out!
I agree about advertising and etc, however MoH plays almost identical on both consoles, where as CoD does not.. The article is not about advertising issues, but rather technical issues.. Activision and Microsoft are too in bed together on ALL levels... It is just wrong! It 3 years, when PS3 is 5 million units ahead of 360, Activision is going to cheating on M$ with Sony, cuz that is the company that they are....

First last night it would not even decrypt the files or whatever for MP so he couldn't play, and he got home today after school and fires up this beautiful gaming rig that plays Crisis on max like it was made in 1990 and CoD is on NO AA, like 900x800 res no shadow e...
Ya SnakeShady, the audio problems are HORRIBLE.. I game with headphones through my 7.1 setup (not that it's 7.1) and in ANY game, not just CoD, I rely on footsteps, reloading etc of enemies to place their position.. With BO I can't even hear them defuse the bomb in SnD.. I am nothing but disappointed in this.. I know Treyarch will fix all this because they are great at post release support (although that might change now that they are lead CoD developer) but this is BS that once again...
It really is not that impressive... I just got back from my buddies house and he wasted 60 bucks buying this broken game for PC... He is running an i7 and a ATI 6850 and on MIN settings it's like 2-23FPS, one second it will be at 90FPs, then it will be at 2... It is sooo glitchy and laggy, I just sat there and shook my head... The best thing about the PC version right now is dedicated servers, and the actual lobby system.. Server selection is pretty decent. Almost like they took a page ou...

Panda, it is clear that if sites were to use ground breaking PC titles no other platform would get the win, the reality is that while console gaming hardware is dated, when I look at a game like Killzone or Uncharted or GOW3 I simply forget about my PC dude.. This is for TECHNICAL achievement... Developers should be awarded for making games like KZ3 on 4+ years old hardware.. Is it not easier to make a stunning game on current PC hardware? Hell I don't have any game development experience...
