Did someone actually think both 360 and PS3 would not have a price drop in 08? Its bound to happen sometime in 08.
I can almost guarantee that consoles will drop in price at least once a year until they hit a price around $129-$149.
Its not hard to understand. The cpu and gpu of 360 are not able to access the ram at the same time.
While ps3 is designed so that the cpu and gpu can. Not to mention various other elements of the ps3 chipset that makes it more efficient and flexible. Thats why it has been harder to code for because its design is not traditional but progressive

I predicted another price drop in spring. It would not suprise me if it came earlier though. Due to how the HD format war has been coming to somewhat of a resolution.
Its funny you should say don't use Uncharted since it is a prime example of ps3's graphical prowess. Warhawk then.
Look to games coming in 08 then you know nothing matches an FF game in graphical quality when it comes to JRPG's. MGS4, KZ2 prime examples. PS3 still hasn't released its most notorious franchises. Still there have been games that show its taken console graphics to a new level.
Lol@ 1up , KZ2 looks masterfull everytime i see it. Thats not what I would call a rushed game.
The fact you don't get alot of updates on the game tells me the opposite. That its a kin in quality standards to FF13 or MGS4 its h4wt sh1t. Not to be taken lightly.
It looks better then GTA in some shots, and worse then GTA in others(i.e. lighting and skys). My eye is kept on this one though before It is considered a must buy, As GTAIV is I will need a trailer and demo.
When I tried the demo. Considering if you were to compare it to Gears or UT3 it looks ugly.
Uses the same engine yet the developers simply used poor texture maps and design when doing the levels in turok. Character models looked alright though.
I remember thinking to myself though. Seriously why would they not use CryEngine 2 for Turok it would be the better engine for Turok Environments.

Its always had a good reputation and if anything. PS3 helped to bring the brand to a a new level. Since for the first time in Playstion's history it is truely the most powerfull console of its generation. They have pulled it off even with the high price point.
All the media slinging mud never carried any weight since the product was not faulty and delivered on most promises and continues to do so through updates.
i.e. Ps2 when launched actually failed to deliver on...
I think its slated for june or july release can't recall which month exactly.

FF franchise outsells MGS franchise so FF13 is likely to match or exceed MGS4/MGO.
The aprox. totals sold by the franchises are like MGS 20 million FF 80 million.

I hope the characters of ff7 get like 20,000 more polygons in this one. I would make do with whatever amount they gave me though.

Im going to have to watch a bunch of tutorials before im up to speed enough to make UT3 maps/mods/mutators.

Update: So far ive made 2 unpopulated rooms.
Its definitley shots from something running on CryEngine 2 its the same quality textures as crysis and looks very similar to crysis.
I was going to get this on ps3 but got it for christmas on pc.
I wanted it for ps3 because it would be a historical game for consoles so to speak for this level of mod support also to see what they do with Home when it launches. I will get a used ps3 copy later.
True , wii's sales success is highly due to its price point advantage IMO not because it delivers a superior gaming experience. As does the ps3.

It marks the fact that Sony has dominated long enough to bring a console to the market that is sold at the highest price point because it is the most advanced console on the market. They are confident enough to do this now.

If you consider that games like DMC4 and GTAIV etc are system sellers its in sony's best intrest to be priced competitively to 360 at the time these games launch so an earlier price drop in 08 is likely.
Also sony would probably want the ps3 as a blu ray player to be at a $299 price point. ASAP.
