thing with PC gamers is that they have an abundant choice, especially with the vast range of community mods one can get, I don't see the point of spending 40euros on some game that is identical to it's predecessor in all shape and form.

however you are right to a certain extent some PC dev can't keep up with the high demand gaming has become - however the majority of developers just migrate to multiplatform because they produce mediocre games

this is what I love about RTS games, first they hardly ever get dumbed down for the "average console user", secondly there are tonnes of RTSs. However each of them is different and enjoyable, compared to other genres in which it's pretty evident that some games are just a rehash of another game with different skins.

Even if I wasn't a fan of SC I'd still buy the game.

I don't think CD Projekt wanted Geralt to look as of he was some sort of model, apart from that - how vain is this article really. Judging characters by their looks... I'd rather see a list with the most interesting characters from a game with some deep background and an interesting character development.

doubt it, sony will be pissed most probably if such a thing happened
plus I think that steamworks will just be available for valve games for a while, on consoles of course

forget what I said... :)

no, I used to play SC with my friends in college - I can't vouch for the extent SC2 will have however I'm pretty sure I'll be playing it in a non-competitive environment.

one can only imagine when WOW:Cataclysm comes out and some elitist with the highest gear possible will eventually solo the Lich King... sad end indeed

I wasn't in the beta but I know some friends of mine who had early access, he wasn't so concerned about APMs, this guy tends to be over dramatic most of the time.

In my opinion, taking a game too seriously ruins all the fun - that's why I'll only be gaming with my brother in-law.

I tolerated Fable 1, mostly because in all aspects it was dwarfed by a game I had played 2 years before, Morrowind.

Molyneaux had promised a lot of things and I believed him. Fable 1 turned out to be a completely different game from what I had expected.

life would be so much simpler if all my excursions had to be in regards for video games...

another useful thing about STEAM: during the summer sale I bought Civ4 after purchasing it and started to download it my 2 year old son started crying yadayada... 2 hours later Civ4 was ready to play :D
if I had used a physical copy I had to go through the boring task of installing the actual game - choosing the best directory etc... which would just halt the installation becaus...

you have to consider the fact that some gamers had a low connection speed - for them STEAM (and similar programs) isn't as useful

5676d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

imagine in the future, logging on your PSN account on your friends "console" and download a game so you guys could play it - given the speed broadband is reaching today's games will download in a matter of minutes, and I'm pretty sure they'll also keep on developing for the player to play the actual game while parts of it are still downloading

I dare call it progress, for consoles anyway - that's how steam works at the moment (minus playing while dow...
