That's usually how disappointment works, something not meeting your expectations.

Seems it's just not living up to expectations. It's better that the devs hear this now than after the final release.

@Hoff

Would also probably mean the hotcakes cost about 10x as much to make though.

Chrono Trigger for me, probably my 3rd favorite game of all-time.

It wasn't, PS2's were very cheap back then, Sony's big mistake was the Cell, great tech, but far too hard to work with and too expensive. It's why the technology flopped outside of the PS3.

So they are only going by revenue now? Well, that's incredibly boring, and much less informative on how well a game sold, everything will just be $60 or never chart, with the CoDs, GTAs and Minecraft being the only exception.

What? We've seen and heard so much of the game, have you just not been paying attention?

Sony is going too, I'm pretty sure he just meant no one is having a conference, which I don't think anyone is.

Oh, yeah I'm sure they have a small team or two working on their next game(s) early stages, but they haven't even started working on the SP DLC yet for Uncharted 4, as the main team has just returned from their holidays after finishing Uncharted 4, so that probably won't be out until sometime next year, by then Bends game will probably be out, or close to being, making the claim of them being put on the backburner even more ridiculous.

They aren't going to tell Naughty Dog "no you can't make a sequel to one of our most successful new I.Ps ever" either, they just won't, Naughty Dog is far bigger than Bend (in literally every way) and would never be put on the backburner for them. The Last of Us 2 just isn't happening anytime soon because Uncharted 4 had a development much longer than expected, Bend having a zombie game is irrelevant.

LOL, like Naughty Dogs game would get put on the backburner for one of Bend's. The reason we won't get it soon is because ND went back to 1 big team and that big team is still working on Uncharted 4 or returning from their holidays.

Oh, look at that, I was right.

It won't, Rockstar will just announce it on any random day, they don't care about events and Gamescom won't have any press conferences so even less reasons Rockstar would announce it there.

DR2 is also getting a remaster. They haven't said if they'll be together yet though.

@ScorpiusX

None of them are Independent, Rockstar is owned by TakeTwo, Bethesda by Zenimax and Blizzard by Activision-Blizzard.

What? The Last of Us has excellent pacing, Uncharted 4 sure you can arguably not so much, but outside of the post prologue Boston bit, what was bad about the pacing in TLoU? Winter onwards it's one of the best-paced games ever, up there with Uncharted 2, and RE4.

MGS5 apparently cost $80million to make and made $179 million worldwide on its first day on sale, sure it was a massive gamble, but it paid off in the end, and was great business for Knomai. Now it's too late though, they didn't trust their product and pretty much burned every bridge they could due to it, I'm not going to pretend Konami are hurting or in a worse place as Pachinko is cheap to make and highly profitable, but don't pretend MGS wasn't viable anymore, it probab...

Yeah, that's pretty much where I stand on it too, you help fund the game's development, I have no issues with you keeping it (timed or permanently), if you just step in and pay for it to be delayed on other platforms, then it annoys me (not enough for me to boycott it, but enough for me to wait for it to be a little cheaper).

@ritchi45

MS have already confirmed it'll be a 1-year console exclusive (90 days on PC).
" Fans will be able to play 'Dead Rising 4' first on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC this December. It will remain a Windows 10 exclusive for the first 90 days and console exclusive on Xbox One for one year."

If you aline the launches, the PS3 consistently out sold the 360 WW, it wasn't really a come back, just a late start. It also took years for Sony catch up with a 8-9 million lead, an over 20 million one would take decades.
