No Goldeneye 64 either, but had the two spiritual sequels Perfect Dark and Timespiltters, both are excellent (hell TS2 is my all-time favorite FPS), but Goldeneye 64 is way more influential.
One releasing this year/ early next, the other the end of next (if you believe the rumours), much bigger difference.
Sadly I doubt either Sony (especially so) or MS will comment on these (if all the rumours are true) until they are close to release, as announcing them so far from release would kill the current console sales until then.
The MAUs will be off the charts!!!
I'm very curious to see how this all pans out, they are basically doubling down on Windows, it will either make the Xbox division stronger than ever or break it. Should be interesting seeing how the handle directly competing with both Steam and PS too.
ND are technical masters, no one outside of maybe SSM or GG will be able to match what they can do with a PS4, so using them as an example for why the PS4.5 is not necessary isn't all that fair, if the 4.5 can get From or the Bethesda's of the world giving good performing games on consoles, It might temp me, but as it stand I am more than fine with my current PS4 and have no plans on picking up a PS4.5 (I see it as more for those who really wanna jump on the PSVR train, which I also d...
When does the next NBA 2K game release? If true (I also doubt it), could just be seen as marketing for that. EA used to do it a lot last gen.
I'm sure the store will regardless, it wouldn't enough for me to pick either up day 1 though. I'll probably not upgrade unless my consoles die, would rather wait for the upgrade after the Neo and Scorpio.
The PS4 will probably be at around 60-80 million by the time that shows up. Xbox One's "X" button probably creeping up on the 1 trillion times pressed goal.
My guess is it'll be $399 (maybe $450 if Sony wanna really maximize profits), but the regular PS4 will drop to $300.
@Make
If you look at pretty much every console gen (this gen is the only 1 I can think of that's different), the more powerful box rarely wins the gen. Who releases first, what their friends have (kinda goes hand in hand with price and release), what games they offer (multiplats & exclusives) and most importantly the price, matter much more than just raw power.
So MS' almost infinite money is only now going to make a difference?
God, we are going to get about 10,000 "articles" on th Xbox One.5 now aren't we? Right after we finally made it past the 10,000 PS4.5 "article".
As for the question, should Sony be worried about a rumoured console that won't be out until late next year (according to said rumours)? No, they'd probably be delighted if MS gives the PS4.5 a full year, of just competing against the NX.
Probably fake, solid month though, but would be a bad month for me, as I've already played Gone Home and my knowledge of basketball ends after Spacejam.
The main goal is to get to the center of the Universe, upgrading your ship, gear and weapons along the way, by exploring planets for, trading for or just straight up stealing materials.
There's plenty of articles, forum post and dev interviews explaining it and discussing it in great detail.
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire, multiple reliable sources have said the same thing, I'd hate to break it to you but there is probably a lot of truth to it. I do wonder how long are people going to dismiss something with ''it's just a rumour'' though, all you are doing is stating the blatantly obvious and adding nothing to the discussion.
@Gol3m
Amazing logic that, if you can't pre-order it, it can't possibly be tru...
I think what Sony do will just depend on how well the neXtbox does, if it starts gaining momentum and the PS4 starts losing it's, I can see them speeding up the PS5's development, releasing it like 2-3 years after the Neo. If not they'll probably wait out the gen for 3-4 more years.
I doubt it, all the rumours are pointing to the PS4.5 releasing later this/early next year. Sony will just take the year of sales lead and wait for the PS5 to outpower it.
I get that, but Crytek had basically killed it, then Deep Silver decided to save it. I just don't know why a guaranteed stinker got saved, when so many games in similar positions die.
Not surprised, a lot of these old PS2 games had animations tied to the FPS, changing it will break a lot of stuff. Good luck to the modders though.
