Sony must be terrified when Spencer says things like this in interviews.
Phil Spencer: What TV do you have?
A standard 1080p TV.
Phil Spencer: Then you should buy this box, because Scorpio is not going to do anything for you. Scorpio is designed as a 4K console, and if you don't have a 4K TV, the benefit we've designed for, you're not going to see. Clearly, you can buy Scorpio, and if and when you decide you want to buy a 4K...
A sequel maybe, I really doubt Sony would agree to fund something and offer one of their biggest movie I.Ps away, if it could just go to other platforms later.
Also, It sounds like Sony (and Marvel) approached Insomniac with it too, not the other way around.
@Acetrologer
Because Sony's job isn't to make Nintendo/PC/Xbox only users happy, they are irrelevant to them, they only care about making their platform the most appealing, and having great exclusive games is one of the best ways to do it. Them using their contacts at Marvel/Disney to get them is just business, any of them would do it if they could, it's pointless getting offended by it.
They sound similar enough that it doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the Hayter/Sutherland switch, also love me some Stargate so Judge getting work is nice. I do wish they at least offered TC the gig though and he turned them down or something, guy was a big part of Kratos.
It's more like they just made their console side a part of Windows. Could end up being a really good move in the long run, the short term probably not though.
If you have to constantly downplay something, you know it won.
It was a pleasant surprise and something I didn't know I wanted. Also, something that I feel was needed, GoW had to evolve (maybe change would be a better way to put it), Ascension showed that, so them going for something that looked more similar to a Dark Soul type combat is fine by me, also really interested to see how they handle a not 100% of the time pissed Kratos.
@BossBattle
So it'll be like MS' E3 this year?
@Software_Lover
He isn't saying it doesn't, he just isn't pretending it's only Sony that announces stuff early like Xbox fanboys like to. Everyone does it, if you say otherwise you are lying to yourself.
Sony uses E3 to announce their future games, they have 3-4 other conferences for stuff releasing soon.
So people are pretending that most of the stuff announced at E3 aren't at least 1½-2 years away now? MS' apparent
"megaton" the Scorpio is 18 months away, but they get a free pass because they showed off stuff they announced last year and have barely released anything this year. The only surprise at MS' conference was DR4 is releasing this year, everything else was predictable, I'd take what Sony offered every time over that.
Also, do...
Are you pretending they have been saying otherwise?
Time and time again? We've seen it like 6 times in 10 years...
The live orchestra is what made it go from a very good conference to an absolutely great one for me, damn fine addition and they were bloody excellent, playing all the music for the demos.
What was shown was great too, which helps.
I liked how it was about to flip out on the kid and had to take a deep breath, gonna make the moment he goes crazy and rips a mythological beast in two from its arsehole upwards, so much better.
It looked really good, I know they always make the campaigns look good in these little demos, but that impressed. Will probably pick IW up when it goes on sale for the SP, couldn't care less about the MP.
I think both would do fine, both have nailed movement in 3D environments, and both are pretty creative with powers/guns. I'd prefer Insomniac because I think they'll have the better Peter Parker, their sense of humour is a perfect match for that type of character.
Do wonder what Sucker Punch are up to though, maybe if it's a success they'll get another Marvel I.P to mess with.
This is going to have the biggest team they've ever had for a game, so seems the other stuff are mostly finished or close to being, and they are slowly going to all in on Spidey.
They tried making a new I.P, it failed, cost Sony millions and SSM lost like half their workforce for a time.
Also, you've never played a God of War game if you think that is the same as previous ones.
Nope, unless Cory is lying (definitely a possibility), he said "Kratos is the main character, play as him all game"

It means to divide into two branches or fork, I totally knew that and definitely didn't just look it up to seem smart, I promise.
