You could be Waving goodbye to $150. ROLF!!

Actually, I hope that some of the brighter developers come up with something to make this thing worth what ever they charge for it.

We will have to wait and see the total package to determine if $150 is a good price point. Remember the vision cam deluxe package sold for something like $79 and came with a one year Live card and a headset. What may MS bundle with Natal?

The other determination of value is the uses for this camera system. I don't see anyone on this site thinking outside the box and realizing that this USB device can be plugged into a PC! With drivers and software (either from MS or 3r...

This guy says that Natal will fail because it's NOT integrated into the 360! Does he think everyone should buy a complete new console to use this?

Natal needs to be an add on device and here's why. Since it's USB it can be used on the PC.
The $150 price tag may not seem so high if MS supports the ability to use this on the PC as a hands free mouse and as a web cam. A good laser mouse and web cam will set you back for more than $150!

I'm not the biggest Halo MP fan but I hope ODST blows MW2 off the map!! Bungie put out Halo 3 on one system, developed saved films, and runs online servers for stat tracking and file sharing. With all that development and maintenance cost they still haven't had to up the price for their next game!! Screw IW and Activision!

For eating and playing mp at the same time, nothing beats corndogs! The stick helps keep the hands clean and you don't have to mute your mike while chewing.

I agree. I don't think we will see the 720 till 2014/2015. But I wonder if MS may release an upgraded 360? Bigger HDD, more memory, better gpu.

I don't think they bought 3DV for the tech, they bought them for the patents. MS will probably buy http://www.mgestyk.com/ next for thier patents!

Not only is it possible that Alan Wake may use the tech from Project Natal, any 360 game made could be patched to use gesture based controls. It only takes switching buttons to gestures. Check out what this company has been doing with 3dv'S camera already.

These guys are showing Crysis and Halo being played using gestures while seated. And the site says that It can be done with arms rested...

The people here that are commenting on what motion controls can or can't do need to see what really has already been done! This company is using the camera from the company MS bought out. And they have videos showing Halo and Crysis being played on the PC without people jumping around!

Here's a company doing the same thing as Natal on the PC. One video shows Halo and Crisis being played.

http://www.mgestyk.com/

One thing that caught my attention was this tech being used in place of a mouse. And since MS is also in the business of selling input devices, Project Natal probably is not just about the 360 and gaming!

I know I read an article a month or two back where someone from MS said that the next console and the current 360 would be fully compatible. Wish I could remember where I read this at.

I'll be in line too for a souped up 360! And I want a larger HDD!!

If people weren't so closed minded, they might see how Natal could be used for FPS's like Halo Reach. A developer could enhance a game with just a couple of Natal functions.

A melee function could be set up where you hold a button or bumper and then swing how you want the melee to be thrown. Of course we would need a strap on the controller!! Think of a function like this like how mouse gestures are used. Hold a button and move a direction to preform a function.

I doesn't matter if Halo was innovative or not or the greatest FPS ever, it did change gaming! It put FPS's on a platform that was more accessible for the average person and drew a lot of new people to gaming.

A lot of people I know and my self included hate side scrolling, top down shooter gaming. And it wasn't until we saw Halo did we ever consider video games as a form of entertainment. The first person, be apart of the action in a 3D environment gaming is why some of u...

I have no problem with points because who wants to charge a credit card 1, 2,or 5 dollar at a time. Yes there is nickle and diming going on here but that's just the norm these days. Cell phones and Ipods do the same.

Dedicated servers will only fix host advantage on games that use server side hit detection. In games that use server side hit detection, any players with a bad connection will cause the problems of not being able to kill them. MS needs to add network testing to...

RROD would happen less often if people didn't turn the unit on and off 5 times a day. It's called thermal stress. Expansion and contraction for any electronics will lessen its life span.
And because the critics of the original Xbox forced MS to shove the 360 into a tiny case, we can expect a low life span for the 360.

Can't believe they missed Project Origin, the sequel to FEAR.

The problem here is too many developers are focused on ranked mp games. Gears you have to play rank without friends to get achievements. COD4 you have to play rank with no more friends than can fit on 1 team to get experience points to get more guns and perks. Developers need a better focus on the friends and having fun part of MP.

Read any game forum a couple of days after release and you will see a small but very vocal group claim that a game bricked their 360.

The problem is most likely to be the drives on older models. I know because I've had my 360 repaired twice for the disc error/game is listed on dashboard as a DVD/"put this disc in an Xbox 360" problem. And last week the problem showed up again.
Modders on one site were saying that the laser needs to be re-calibrated.

This problem pops up for a number of people with just about every game that gets released. The game gets blamed because at the time it's the only game for that person that the problems happens with. But it usually migrates to other games.

Here is what I've been through!

Last Dec Far Cry started doing 3 different things. Dirty disc error while playing or trying to load, the dashboard would show a DVD in the drive, and the "put this game in a Xbox 360&quo...

About time they supported 3rd party wireless controllers! The D pad on the MS controller sucks!
Now can anyone with a Nyko Zero for the PS3 tell me if the thing is any good?
