@SpeakTruthAlways,
Agreed. They released 1 (2 if we count Alan Wake American Nightmare) game last gen that seemingly nobody played. I played Alan Wake + it DLC and liked the game a lot, but I KNOW that game didn't sell well and I'm hard-pressed to believe that all the current fans of Remedy even played Alan Wake.
One of my top 10 favorite developers? Maybe. I'd have to sit around and think about it. But as good as Naughty Dog at anything in the ...
People are ignorant to the talent at Naughty Dog and I whole-heartedly believe it's people who haven't actually sat down to play their games.
I use to be a huge nay-sayer when it came to Sony and it's Developers. I was what you would call an Xbox fanboy, despite owning both Xbox 360 and PS3 (since their launch). Gears of War got it's hooks in me and blinded me for awhile.
(Disclaimer: I ended up buying a PS4 and XB1 around their launch dates a...
I don't think that will happen considering Naughty Dog is owned by Sony.
Remedy isn't owned by Microsoft but I still dont think that means cross-platform.
I'll be upset if this game doesn't have a raid-ish event.I know the rumor, I just hope its true.
The game will likely provide me with enough entertainment until Dark Souls 3 and Uncharted 4.
please let it be true.
I can't wait to take advantage of Bethesda and get two season passes for the price of one! Buying it for $30 ensures I get the originally planned content plus the new additionally planned content.
Bethesda are suckers!
I'd gladly pay 74.99 (USD) also if it meant that we'd never see dlc.
Why are people disagreeing with folks who say they're buying the DLC for $30 before the price hikes? I'm guessing you guys must think the DLC is worth $50 since that will be the only alternative?
No thanks. I think I'll get the same content for $30 over waiting a month and getting the content for $50. That way, theres no harm no foul. The only people who are going to be affected by this are the people that wait until after March 1st to buy the season pass.
...
They're great games. I paid $35 and I'm currently on San Andreas after finishing the first 2 (GTA 3 and Vice City).
The only thing I can say is that the controls are kinda odd but they're easy to get use to.
GTA 3 probably takes about 10 hours to beat, 20-30 hours to platinum
GTA Vice City probably takes about 12 hours to beat, 30-35 hours to platinum
GTA: San Andreas, I'm currently playing with a play time o...
I bought the GTA Trilogy >10 days ago for $35. Safe to say, i'm kinda annoyed I didn't wait.
Since the sales are centralized around games I already own (GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas and GTA V), I think im going to use some of my $50 PSN to buy the Escapist + Walking Dead. Game looks like fun and it has 2 platinums.
so, if you have an issue with the $50 Season pass, buy it when it's $30.
I originally planned to wait for the DLC to release to buy the $30 season Pass. But, since bethesda is pulling this crap, I'm going to buy the season pass before the price hikes.
You win, Bethesda. You win. Though, I seriously doubt they're raising the price now to ensure people buy it at the $30 mark. I think they're sending this out as a "heads up" for people ...
don't you mean Katelyn Jenner?
I watch about 4 hours of TV during a week now-a-days. I enjoy my time more with games than watching TV shows or movies. The 4 hours I do watch, I can name. 1 Hour for Bill Maher on Friday, 30 minutes for Vice, 30 minutes for John Oliver and 2 hours for a documentary that interests me.
Other than that, I rarely turn the cable box on.
I did go on a book kick 2 years ago before PS4 launched. THere just wasn't much to play and I was just waiting for PS4 to l...
"play the game at your own pace."
This is exactly right. I buy every single game I play as an adult. As a young adult/teen I would rent just about every game unless it was a game like Halo 3, Gears of War, Cod MW, COD WAW and COD MW2 because of their online components (which I probably threw 500+ total hours at the titles listed).
Renting a game would be a total waste of money for me today. I'd barely even scratch the surface of any single game ...
@jb227, the last "good" linear game I played was Wolfenstein. Cod I about the only other game I can think of that isn't open world.
I choose my games wisely now that I'm older. I have the expendable income to play just about any game I want, but I still just focus my gaming on games I want to play.
I don't have the desire to play every popular modern game. I pick a game I want to play and "just do it."
Other th...
this is a really good thread to read opinions on. I just about agree with everyones post
I know its a "niche" hobby within the gaming community, but I'm what you would call a trophy hunter/achievement "whore."
I almost always platinum the games I play.
Last year, with all the open worlds and very few linear games, I was only able to play about 60% of the games that I purchased.
Ever Since December, I've been cleaning my backlog and I still have MGS:V within that backlog. I always weigh it against, &quo...
Not to mention, the 12 fully fleshed out fighting game got knocked down a few scores from a lack of content.
IMO, your argument is nullified. It's the perfect argument for "don't trust reviews." But, since you're trying to skew it into "this game is better because reviews" it turns out to be a very redundant arguments.
Heavy Rain will only get a physical release with Beyond 2 Souls. They will not be releasing these games individually at retail
Remedy has been in the game since 1996.
Naughty Dog has been in the game since 1985. 1989 if were talking under the official name of "Naughty Dog" and 1996 if were talking about the "owned by Sony" Naughty Dog.
So, tell me more about how Remedy has been around longer.
