Just look at how Sony implemented their Trophy sync. It is tacked on when you get your automatic update instead of seamless integration like achievements.

It's more like enabled development hell for 3rd parties that took years to enable parity between multiplatform games. I think it is clear that the playstation 3 is crippling teh xbox for parity.
