On topic who didn't expect this, it's been pretty clear for a while now that ps4pro will be mainly checkerboard and the X will have some more native at the developers discression.
Few years time you can build a console that outperforms the X for 299. Advances in technology are thick and fast and the price of premium parts bombs.

If they came out and was pushing the native 4K then every game that isn't native would be rammed down their throat.
If they push that's it's all down to developers then your asking people to spend all that money on a luck based system of some games being 4K and some arnt.

Aside from being persuaded to get an Xbox I kinda agree with most. That may change if next year when my PC will require an upgrade whether it makes more sense to do that or see what the current situation of games is looking like on X.

Whilst your point may stand, the difference was that the games (even the new ones) that MS showed were multi plat whilst Sony had a few exclusives (proper exclusives before you attempt to rebuke me) on offer.
