Actually, those figures look pretty good for the ps3 I think.
With xbox360 in dominance in the US, also being 1 year older and the PS3 being at a higher price. The small gap between their figures is negligible.
I must say the ps3 is doing impressively despite that all the odds are against them.
You realize that the EU has many countries that often have many different legal systems. Why delay a game any further? For a Europe wide release, the game has to pass many more systems than that of America.
I am from Australia, and we miss out even worse because of the chain effect from Europe.

The media side of things is solid, and once you learn how to take full advantage of it, you will realize that that alone was enough to justify the purchase, let alone its abilities to play games.
That said, My ps3 sitting next to my projector was enough for me to be satisfied, game, media or nothing.

although the mechanics is not ground breaking, the game is a solid rental title i believe.
