I hope the article and the rumors it mentions are right and Activision sold the rights back to Sony, but I'll believe it when I see it.
The Horizon: Zero Dawn delay is not really a big deal to me since they only pushed it back from Holiday 2016 to February 2017. That delay is understandable.
However, I do wish that the bigger developers/publishers would, in general, use more restraint when giving a prospective release date. I understand publishers want to get fans excited, but I don't know that the momentary excitement of an announcement outweighs the inevitable frustration of multiple delays or a 3-4 y...
I am still of the mind the PS4K was initially made to help increase the resolution and performance of PSVR in order to better compete with the power of the other VR sets. I would message it by telling customers that the upgrade is mainly for people buying VR but it will also increase performance for regular PS4 games for people who would like to upgrade without PSVR. It's not necessary but it is an option.
I finished the Blood and Wine expansion last night. Totally worth the money and a perfect end to Geralt's story for now. Also the new Gwent deck is pretty awesome.
My theory for this console is that Sony is making the 4K mainly to help improve the performance of Playstation VR. I think the updated model will help VR run/upscale to higher resolutions and make it more competitive (from a power stand point) with the Oculus and Vive. The fact that it will also help regular PS4 games run better is a "bonus" if you will and it would not surprise me in the least if they use that as part of their advertising.
Either way I am interes...
I can't imagine Sony would have announced the year for The Last Guardian if they weren't positive of its release since it has taken so long.
I understand developers need more time, and I to would rather have a great game than good game; however, I understand the frustration from fans, since I am one of those fans.
Bear in mind this game was first announced in 2013 and scheduled for release in late 2014. Then it was delayed to 2015, then to 2016, and now to 2017 in the US. I think this is probably where the annoyance is stemming from. It has been quite some time since the initial reveal
Looks cool.
Man I loved Morrowind. It was my first experience with an Elder Scrolls game. If they ever remake it, I'll buy it day 1.
True they never gave a specific month and day but they said 2015 then 2016 and now 2017. I just wish they wouldnt even bother giving a year unless they know it will be that year.
I hope this is true. I wish every game did a Fallout 4 type reveal instead of announcing new release dates multiple times.
All these games getting delayed just kills me. Has anyone kept a running tally? Mass Effect and Horizon Zero Dawn......now Persona 5. Am I missing anything?
At least this one wasn't announced two years ago and pushed back. Sorry I am feeling a little annoyed by all the recent delays of the games I really want to play.........Mass Effect: Andromeda, Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn.
But thinking back on it I suppose there is still FFXV and The Last Guardian.
I might be able to beat Stephen Hawking at video games, but I think he's got me beat in just about every other mental activity on the planet. Also if this was true I feel like I should be a lot better at math. Curse you Calculus!!
Bugs....
Any more news on when Rise of the Tomb Raider will be out on PS4? I know it is supposed to be 'Holiday' but have they given a specific date?
Has there been any updates as to whether we might get another L.A. Noire game? I really enjoyed it.
I think they are trying to pull a Fallout 4 scenario. Keep as much information under wraps then show it at E3 and only have 7-8 months before the game releases. I am actually quite happy with those types of reveals instead of seeing bits and pieces only to have to wait for 2-3 years.
A lot of the WW1 battles in Africa and the Middle East did not use trench warfare. They could use those locations as well.
The article mentions that there are rumors that Activision sold Crash back to Sony, but the stipulation was that Sony had to let Activision use Crash for Skylanders.
