Might be best to wait until we actually see something of Avowed before we claim it’s going to be one of the biggest games of the generation.

Yeah, I’m starting to finally lose some of my patience with Sony and Microsoft. It’s August. The new consoles will be out in 3-3.5 months.
A price and preorder date would be very appreciated. Not this continual drip of information. I’d like to be able to make an informed purchase.
I also prefer longer games; however, I understand the argument game development is becoming too expensive as well. There is a lot of risk for publishers investing in a 30-50 hour AAA game that costs 200 to 300 million dollars to make.

If the game is about hate then I’d prefer a brutal God of War “close your heart to their suffering” all out show down where someone doesn’t walk away ending.
I can’t sing enough praises about this game. Those of you who haven’t played it are in for a real treat.
I will say Sony missed a big opportunity with this game. I hope they get From Software to make a second Bloodborne.
I can see this being the case; however I’m getting the sense the people who expect most or all of the games next gen to be 4K 60 fps are setting themselves up for disappointment.
I am hopeful many games will have frame rate and visual options but I still think we will see many developers pushing graphics over performance.
I was strangely taken by the trailer for Stray. I really liked the atmosphere.
Also, after working so hard to complete Demon Souls on PS3, I was half hoping the remake wasn't happening because I dread being pulled back in. I swore to myself I was done.........but who am I kidding, I'll end up playing it again.
Insomniac announced the new Spiderman is a standalone game.
It does look amazing. I believe I bought, sold, and re-bought this game at least 3 times before I finally made it through. To this day it is still one of the platinum trophies I'm proudest of.

Bioware would take some heat for that, but I think enough time has passed at this point it would not be a huge deal, especially if Shepard and the crew come back in some meaningful way.
I agree with this assessment and enjoyed Andromeda too.
I still feel there is a way for them to carry on the original trilogy in the Milky Way. You would think there has to be a lot of new stories to tell about what happened immediately after the Reapers.
I’m all for Commander Shepard passing on the torch to a new protagonist. Lol the man has earned a break.
I actually platinumed Andromeda. It was no Mass Effect 1-3 but I actually liked the premise behind it.
That being said, I would prefer any future games be about the after-effect of the Reaper invasion. I think it would be cool to be traveling around the Milky Way trying to re-establish order after the reapers.
